I really hate it when trailers show scenes that didn’t make it into the movie. All that dialogue about the badassery of his character from the trailer, among other stuff, was never in the film. As for the film, it was meh overall. I’ve seen this movie before many times over, and the cinematography, conveyance of emotion, and scene urgency was much better in the others. The characters were underdeveloped, flat and soulless, and I cared very little for the protagonist. Climax was cookie cutter as well. I like Michael B. Jordan, but he didn’t really do much except act like a tough guy with heart, basically what he always gets casted as. All in all, it was a very average B movie flick to waste 2 hours of your life on if you’ve got nothing else going on for yourself today. The entire thing tastes undercooked.
