If only they ditched that whole Lana’s daughter storyline. It does nothing for this show. Aside from that, it’s an awesome show and a good episode. I like the pacing of this show/season. The filler is kept to a minimum. I won’t lie though, there is an overall drop in quality compared to the first and second episodes.
I fear this’ll go the same route of Arrow and Flash; great first season or two until it turns into an annoying drama instead of a superhero show. We had Felicity ruin Arrow, Iris ruin Flash, and I’m guessing it’ll be this stupid little girl of Lana’s that’ll ruin this one as time goes on. Either her or Lois (hopefully not, she’s actually written very well at the moment). Funny how CW forces “empowerment” and “inclusivity” into all their shows by giving a lot of spotlight to characters they end up writing horribly and everyone hates. Intent is nice, but proper execution is vital. Otherwise, it’s as they say: the road to hell is paved with good intentions; and this show will end up in hell and alienating the fans yet again like in the past if they keep repeating the same tired formula. Definitely getting those vibes from the past three episodes.
Hoping I’m wrong about this one and it’ll continue to produce consistent quality and relevant writing for seasons to come. Looking forward to next week after this cliffhanger!
