Phalanxes were slow to change direction where as the flexibility of the Roman maniples were its strength. Only with Alexander the Great and his army could have beaten the Romans. I think Alexander the Great was the greatest general of all time. imo

Achilles would win the fight. He’s the son of a goddess and the greatest of all Greek warriors.
