Britannia (2018) S3 E8
AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago.

I am so confused.

The Nevers (2021)
AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

Have never watched this before, but omg — DEMELZA!!! I promised myself after Poldark ended so suddenly that I would read all the books, but never did. Now I want to do that.

As for this show, I like it a lot so far. Will keep watching, since it seems to be a popular show.

Backstrom (2015)
AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

Too bad this show was cancelled after one season. I would have loved to see how he handled things going forward. At least they gave it a good ending.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S5 E4
AmieWarren 2 points 22 days ago.

Well, that was a fun episode! More like this please.

Leave the World Behind (2023)
kraichgau 2 points 4 months ago.

feels like a pilot for a series…

AmieWarren 2 points 4 months ago.

I was thinking the same thing. Sort of like “Revolution,” maybe? These rich people will have to learn to be self-sufficient, which won’t be easy for them.

Doctor Doctor (2016) S5 E8
AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago.

Finally! A series ending that makes sense! I’ll miss this show. I really would like to see what happens next. A spinoff, maybe?

Sight Unseen (2024) S1 E2
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago*.

This episode was better than the first. I think it’s going to get much better from here. Mia is the real star of the show.

Silo (2023)
greenguy86 1 points 9 months ago.

Have you finished watching the entire series or still have episodes left?

AmieWarren 2 points 9 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I just finished the whole thing, and a friend is lending me all the books, but after reading the summaries on Wikipedia, I don’t think I’ll read them. Not into all the death and destruction. If there is a second series, I might watch it, might not.

The Dead Files (2011) S15 E6
AmieWarren 2 points 10 months ago.

I like the new psychic, Cindy. I could tell for a couple of years now that Amy was getting burned out. I wish her the best. and hope this break will help her heal.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017) S5 E9
AmieWarren 2 points 11 months ago.

Well, that was an interesting ending. If you didn’t watch the credits scroll at the end, you missed something good. I’ll miss this show so much. I might binge watch the whole thing again one day. Goodbye, Midge. Goodbye Susie. You both were truly MARVELOUS!

Benny & Joon (1993)
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago.

This is my favorite Johnny Depp movie. i can’t believe he was 28 when he made this movie. For so long, he didn’t look his age, but his habits are catching up with him now.

Who is Erin Carter? (2023)
AmieWarren 2 points 8 months ago.

This was sort of boring until episode 4, then things really picked up. I’d say don’t give up on it before then, because it’s really sort of rip-roaring action-packed from 4 on.

Stargate Atlantis (2004) S1 E1
RobotAllah 2 points 7 months ago.

Promising Start. Was fun seeing some familiar faces from SG1. Kinda Glad Daniel didn’t sneak in with the Atlantis crew.

AmieWarren 2 points 7 months ago.

I always liked this Stargate. Don’t understand why others didn’t like it.

Home Before Dark (2020) S2 E10
AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

I think we all figured out that Spoon is a transgender girl, but it was confirmed in this episode when Donny said “Ladies first,” as they were getting onto the boat, and she said “Thanks!”

I don’t know if the actor is trans IRL, but in this, she is adorable.

The Wheel of Time (2021) S2 E8
AmieWarren 2 points 6 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I’m all caught up now. I had to do some research to figure out who that woman was at the end, but now I know. That’s going to be an interesting story line for season 3.

Penny Dreadful (2014) S3 E9
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Well, that was well worth every binged minute. I don’t know why I didn’t ever watch this before. This show is pure genius. The only thing missing was the destruction of the portrait. It should not have ended. There were so many more stories that could be told. Maybe one day there will be a sequel. I will say one more thing. Timothy Dalton aged very well. Pretty hot still for an old man.

Dominion (2014)
expresso 1 points 6 months ago.

Watched it the first time around, just binged a couple months ago. If you’re into angels and demons I think it’s a really good watch - give it a try

AmieWarren 2 points 6 months ago.

Thanks. I watched a few of the trailers and clips on YT, and it’s sort of like a story of two battling brothers — a true good vs. evil tale. I like those.

Wolf (2023)
biker_71 1 points 9 months ago.

i’m 2 eps in and wondering wither i should continue with it or not. it’s coming across as being a little stupid to me.

AmieWarren 2 points 9 months ago.

Yeah, I just watched the trailer and decided “nope.” I just finished binge watching all 4 seasons of London Kills, and I cannot go from that to this.

Chapelwaite (2021) S1 E3
AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I know this is supposed to be supernatural, but I’m seeing schizophrenia, not ghosts and curses. The fact that he didn’t have the delusions until he got to the house means nothing. Schizophrenia can start later in life. Usually starts in the 20s, but starting in the 30s is not unusual. The strange thing is that it’s supposedly hereditary, but they say it affected the grandmother also, but not the grandfather, who was just mean and only went mad after his granddaughter was murdered and his son killed himself (or did he?). Seems it passed from the grandmother to the male descendants.

Murdoch Mysteries (2008) S17 E22
AmieWarren 2 points 1 month ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I do not understand why perfectly good series think they have to do musical episodes. So annoying, because half of them have horrible voices.

Florida Man (2023) S1 E1
AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This is boring so far, and his latino accent is distracting, when no on else in his family has one. Maybe it’ part of his backstory, I don’t know, but it’s weird. I don’t know if this is worth my time.

SurrealEstate (2021) S2 E5
AmieWarren 2 points 6 months ago.

Is anybody else watching this? It’s a lot of fun. I’m enjoying it. It’s spooky with a lot of personal drama too.

Shetland (2013)
AmieWarren 2 points 7 months ago.

So…Agatha Raisin is going to be the lead detective in Shetland? I never watched but one episode of her previous show, because I read all the books and it was so unlike them, it just turned me off. People who never read the books loved it, though, as is often the case. I really hope she can take Shetland in a different direction, because we’re going to miss Doug Henshall so much, it will take a big person to fill his shoes.

The Witcher (2019) S3 E3
AmieWarren 2 points 10 months ago.

Wow! I didn’t see THAT coming! That monster was unreal!

NCIS: Sydney (2023)
AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

This will be my new watch, because I love NCIS and I love Australian TV, so let’s get to it!

Orphan Black (2013)
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago.

I’m going to be re-watching this whole series soon. I fell in love with all the characters, and can’t wait to see them again.

The Woman in the Wall (2023)
YgraineDance 5 points 8 months ago.

I knew I had to give this a go on account of excellent actress Ruth Wilson, who was so memorable in “Luther” and other gems. She shines here as a very troubled shell of a woman, the victim and survivor of a horrible social atrocity (Magdelene Convents) committed against girls and women at the hands of (what else?) the Church. Wilson’s ‘Lorna Brady’ is barely hanging onto her sanity, and the viewer is never quite sure about what’s really up with her. But then, Lorna herself isn’t quite sure of things, either. Watch, and you’ll see what I mean. Her life is nightmarish, and you really feel for her plight and for the others who endured cruelty “for their sins.” Two eps. in, and I think I’ll stay for the ride.

AmieWarren 2 points 8 months ago.

I have it on my Want to Watch list. I’ll probably have it be my next binge on your recommendation.

Voyagers! (1982)
AmieWarren 2 points 8 months ago.

I vaguely remember this show. Might put it on my To Watch list just to see if it’s worth it.

Frasier (2023) S1 E2
AmieWarren 2 points 7 months ago.

I haven’t laughed this much since Thursday Night Must See TV — such fun times! I think David is going to steal this show, though.

Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)
Piglet 0 points 4 months ago.

In fall of 2021, the university where I work started offering Cherokee as a language. The enrollment has been light, but there is an interest in the Cherokee language. Slowly Native Americans are/have created a written language. I need to do some research and see how many universities offer a Native American language. I have Cherokee heritage and I must admit I don’t know as much of the history of the Cherokee other than the Trail of Tears trek from the east coast to Oklahoma.

AmieWarren 2 points 4 months ago.

I have a branch of my family, sadly not my branch, that married into the Cherokee Nation. I found some of the descendants when doing my genealogy. I’d love to learn Cherokee.

The Witcher (2019)
AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago.

I feel like I should read the books, because Season 2 makes no sense to me at all.

Florida Man (2023) S1 E7
AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

Nice ending. It started out slow, but picked up. Would watch another season of this.

Total Control (2019)
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago.

Season 3 is up. Looks promising.

Vienna Blood (2019)
AmieWarren 2 points 8 months ago.

I can say one thing for the writers’ strike — it’s turned me onto some really cool shows I probably wouldn’t have ever found otherwise. Loving this show. I love period dramas and mysteries, and this is both, with some subtle humor thrown in. The characters are so interesting. The more you get to know about them, the more you want to know.

Riverdale (2017)
Manic9 4 points 2 years ago.

I know it’s just a tv-show, but like I said in my comment not every teenager is mature enough to realise it’s ‘just a fantasy story’. I honestly didn’t even know this was from a comic book. I’m from Belgium so I didn’t grow up with comics like this. To be honest I even discovered Marvel comics when I was about 19-20 :s Maybe this sounds weird for you, but it’s not just me but a lot of people here don’t know about comics. I have a 17 year old niece that watched this show (2years ago, so at age 15) and she started to believe that American teenagers really live like this and acted out, that’s why I watched it out of curiousity to try to understand her. I just wanted to share that back then so 2 years ago. :D So yeah that’s why my comment is so intens. :D

AmieWarren 2 points 2 years ago.

The comic book is nothing like this show, and American teenagers are nothing like the ones in this show. Tell your niece that an American mother said that. If my kids had ever acted like this, I would have nipped it right in the bud. No way would they be allowed to do these things.

Alaska Daily (2022)
AmieWarren 2 points 9 months ago.

Just found this looking for something to binge, and it’s great. So sad it was cancelled after one season, but that one season is well worth watching. Hillary Swank is amazing, as always. Too bad good shows like this get cancelled when crap “reality” shows dominate the airways. Soon, there will be nothing decent to watch.

Invasion (2021) S2 E1
AmieWarren 2 points 8 months ago.

I’m putting this show on my “plan to watch” list. I like shows that start slow and build to the craziness.

Alaska Daily (2022) S1 E11
AmieWarren 2 points 9 months ago.

Sadly, there will be no season 2, but it was well worth watching. A fitting ending for this amazing show.

The Vanishing Triangle (2023)
AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

This is a good show, and they pack a lot into each episode. Always liked Allen Leech, ever since his Downton Abbey days, and he does a good job with this.

Palm Royale (2024) S1 E10
expresso 0 points 3 days ago.

That was perfection!

AmieWarren 2 points 3 days ago.

Everybody got what they deserved, but it was sad too. There simply must be a season 2! There are people who need to go down in flames, and I’m here for it!

The Changeling (2023) S1 E8
AmieWarren 2 points 7 months ago.

At least after this episode, we know there MUST be a season 2. Can’t wait!

The Winter King (2023)
expresso 2 points 8 months ago.

Trailer looks an awful lot like Britannia, but good

AmieWarren 2 points 8 months ago.

I loved Brittania, so I should put this on my watch list.

The Good Witch (2008)
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago.

I watched all The Good Witch movies and the entire TV series. I just loved this sweet, funny and sometimes spooky show. If you’re looking for some family entertainment, this is a good one to watch.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (2023)
User67 5 points 5 months ago.

Can’t wait to see this . I did have most of her tunes but now she’s taylored her versions I got to start again.

AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

I was never a big fan, but when I learned how she re-recorded her music to get one over on those evil record execs that stole her copyrights, I was like “You Go Girl! YESSS!!”

Penny Dreadful (2014)
yellow_rose1 8 points 3 months ago.

It is so good I’ve been thinking of watching the entire series again. When I watched it for the first time my husband was still alive and we would discuss and critic every episode. I know it will trigger those memories. On the 17th of this month it will be 7 years since he past

AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago.

I’m sorry about your husband. Mine passed 38 years ago this month at the age of 27.

Narvik: Hitler's First Defeat (2023)
kraichgau 8 points 2 months ago*.

both Hitler and his ideology were consequences of the lost first world war and the results(Versaille,hyper-inflation,political chaos and mass-unemployment).
that they ended in evil disaster, was hardly clear in 33 to the common people, because the book of hitler hasnt been read by most of them.
the fight between communists and hitlerists went on over the full time of weimar and the communist idea wasnt appealing to most germans.
he was a huge disaster for germany as a nation, but he didnt come out of the air and other nations did their part into bringing him into power

AmieWarren 2 points 2 months ago*.

“other nations did their part into bringing him into power”
Sort of like Russia and China want our ex-President (he whose name shall not be spoken) to once again be in the White House? They wanted Hitler because he was insane and could be manipulated. Same same here. Evil will only triumph for a short while, then it will be defeated by the forces of good.
I admire your lifelong study of history. Too few people know their country’s history, and most don’t care to. That’s why they become sheeple, believing the lies of the autocrats.

The Winter King (2023) S1 E7
AmieWarren 2 points 6 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Why do men let their dicks lead them into so much trouble? Honestly, this Guinevere isn’t even that pretty (imho), definitely not worth dying for.

Highlander
Alien 1 points 5 months ago*.

Right there! That’s how rumors get started. Why you making stuff up?
I don’t believe that’s the REAL reason for a second. And there is no WE.

AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago*.

Why are you always so snarky? I don’t mind you disagreeing with me, but you always seem to make it sound like an attack on the person you’re disagreeing with. Maybe try to be a little nicer, you’re not 12 yo, you know. Or are you?

The Gilded Age (2022) S2 E8

It’s not a finale. Too much left unfinished. There will be another season.

Who is Erin Carter? (2023)
un1que1 2 points 5 months ago*.

I would have to agree. Episode 4 is where it begins. Thanks for inspiring me to hang on.

AmieWarren 2 points 5 months ago.

You’re welcome. I sometimes give up on a show too soon that everyone else seems to like, then I have to go back and watch it longer to see what’s so great about it.
