I had issues with my mother but never enough to do what her son did. Maybe she was trying to redeem herself somehow but not now!
Lena and her character Aster? I was hesitant to and didn’t like her character in GOT but so far, she is okay. Did you also catch the comments between Aster and Kanadey (the red headed lady) that they were there from the same company. Odd to say the least so it will be interesting to see it unfold.
I did find that interesting. Same boss, but different goals? I don’t remember what Kaneddy’s goals were. She was aligned with scrappers but was that temporarily just to get to B23? Aster was after the rocks but what was Kaneddy’s goal?
I do agree that it dragged out a bit but I do like what I’ve seen thus far. We have all become accustomed to Star Trek and this drama is no Star Trek for sure. I shall continue to watch and did anyone pay attention to the last conversation Harmony and Bart had?
Yes!! I’m enjoying the interaction between the AIs…too much emotion for Bart but that might have been the kind of companion Solomon wanted…who knows.
I agree about the slow burn but the action picked up in the 2nd ep and hinted a more layers.
I don’t like “her” that much so I almost passed on this one. Glad I gave it a try now…I’m in.
And oh my gosh wasn’t she wonderful in Broadchurch? “MILLAH!”
I saw your comment and knew immediately of whom you spoke! Entire cast is composed of many of my faves! Rushed right over to watch. Glad the last link is a dood link…those always work for me.
Another Earth https://www.primewire.tf/movie/770513-another-earth is an all time favourite here. She’s in 6 episodes as one of the 11 guests of the who-done-it retreat we’ve read. Nice cast. Hopefully it has an Icelandic feel!
Yes! I watched that, too…pretty much everything she’s worked on.
Good to know…thx for that!
Here’s a little bit more about this new limited series and it sounds intriguing…..“A Murder at the End of the World.” The seven-episode limited series is Agatha Christie by way of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” following a hacker-turned-amateur sleuth (Emma Corrin) who investigates a death at a secluded Icelandic retreat. Featuring a killer soundtrack and potent supporting turns from Clive Owen and Harris Dickinson, the nervy thriller takes a chilling dive into our obsessions with true crime and artificial intelligence.”
Not a lot of info but will come out in in late 2024.
Piglet, THANK YOU for the many heads-up you provide! Lucky for me that we seem to have similar tastes. It never fails that I read up on something you post and then I add to my ever-lengthening list of “Plan To Watch.”
I’ve wizened up though…I’m adding the TV series to “Watching.” ;-)
John Cena really aught to do a movie with Michael Bay. Just starts with an explosion, goes on with explosions punctuated with clever jibes from Cena’s character, and ends with a much larger explosion.
According to Yellow Film’s website, season 3 is in post-production and scheduled to drop spring 2024.
PS. Season 3 will “center around winter car testing facilities in the North.”

Why doesn’t anyone try to make Archer into a live-action series?!!
Star-studded quirk by Roald Dahl, brought to life by Wes Anderson…delightful!!
Fixed
Woo hoo! Thanks for the quick turnaround! Nowadays it’s sometimes a race against the links getting removed from their servers!
Tested about a dozen links, they all play S02E09 (“Offerings”) instead of S03E09.
Disappointing episode. Nothing was gained by the whole anakin part. Just showing off and wasting about 10 minutes of misdirect
Agree! Saving grace was the whale jump but too bad we had to sit through the Anakin crap to get to it.
This was so stupid! As always, I blame the writers! Just not following through the dynamic of the times.
These people have been at this for how many years? And yet, they just stand there, watching the dead advance?! And at a snails pace, no less! “Follow me,” she says. As if she knew her way around MSG. I think it’s safe to say that if the dead are coming in through one entrance/exit, they’re probably coming in through all of them.
Ugh, to say the least.
At this point, I want to say multiple personalities, but it doesn’t fit 100%. Intriguing!
Definitely a very well-executed thriller…thus far.
Great acting all around, but I did get tired of the repetitive Shiv and Roman flip-flopping…
how many times did they do that to Ken?!
And Tom = a watered-down version of the ruthless Logan, Shiv = destined to become her mom…
poor Baby Tom/Shiv!!
I apologize about reporting all those links, PrimeWire. I watched the show but didn’t stay until the end…obviously! Lesson learned.
another good ep, but why didn’t anybody appear to notice what happened when they went to back up power.
Some did notice…the camera stayed on some faces right after the window/screen flashed.
So a steam turbine without an overflow valve. I guess the plague wiped out all the engineers and mechanics or anyone with a half a brain….
What if there’s a stoppage somewhere? Also, still to be explained is the water at the base…is that the water for the steam turbine? And what if that tunnel is more than just an escape tunnel?
I like the way they’re making you doubt the actual status of the outside?
PS. If there are books involved, nope…haven’t read them. But still…
I agree, there has to be another reason and wonder if it ties in with the destruction of…….because the story line kept jumping back and forth, so there has to be some kind of connection there.
Since The Shrike alluded to being in possession of the Mother of all Weapons, that might be a clue to her being the Bad Guy head of the faction that Raffi is chasing. Maybe Junior, Crusher, Raffi, and Worf are all on the Good Guy team trying to crack the faction that demolished that building. There’s gotta be more to it, right?
It just seemed too cobbled together…trying to add mystery…not make the links too obvious…made it a bit too disjointed.
Not understanding why whatshisname saw fit to get Crusher up instead of just yanking one of Junior’s hairs!! And why make “Picard and Crusher, sittin’ in a tree…” such a big deal? So, they boned. Was someone really wanting that loose end tied?!!
Also, I think making a universe-wide bounty on Junior’s head the sole reason for The Shrike to come after him is pretty lame. Everything (and everyone!) that’s being risked for this one kid?!!
As always, I blame the writers.
All episodes of season 2 drop tomorrow.
Wow! That was a remarkable season! This is definitely the History Channel’s golden goose. I hope they don’t compromise on the quality for season 3!
Don’t think there will be a 2nd.
The whole point of the mini-series was a god (or whatever) wanted a lost story to be told again so it could inspire the folks in the current Witcher series timeline. But I could easily be wrong.
Personally, I prefer to skip all the hype if possible, I watch the trailer and sometimes sift the comments but only briefly, your mindset going in to a thing has an effect on your perception.
So, it was meant as a “sidebar” or addendum. Then, I think it did the job.
That’s also my MO: trailers and comments from “reputable” reviewers…just to get a feel…not used as deciding factor.
Pretty good mini-series overall. Likeable and relatable characters, a clear and defined story, with beautiful scenery and well executed cgi, makeup, sets, clothing, et cetera were combined well and filmed. By no means a masterpiece but very enjoyable.
This is a very efficient storytelling style and one I appreciate after so many American style series where they “pad out” their seasons to match the number some clueless exec came up with.
Well said, booger!
[Now, why can’t I stop looking at my fingertips?!! My nose is itching!]
I’ll admit I went in with much skepticism, given all the hullabaloo about the Witcher-verse. But I watched all 4 episodes and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t overwhelmed with woke-ism, which nowadays is rare. And, as booger stated above, scenery/sets/wardrobe/makeup/CGI/action was a solid 3 out of 5 for me.
Not a bad watch and, dare I say it…wouldn’t mind a s2…there I said it!
Thank you! I had not heard of this before. Now I have something to watch that I think I will like, because I saw your comment.
Wow! The quality of the writing for season 2 made an edge-of-your-seat nail-biter out of almost every episode! Would want to see it continued into a s3 but I can’t imagine them get it this right a 3rd time. You’ve got to watch this one if you enjoyed s1…you WILL NOT be disappointed!
What a fantastic series, I really hope it gets a second season.
No word yet but reportedly “…creators have expressed interest in returning for a second season and have already hinted at potential plotlines. To date, they have revealed that they have plans to explore the psychological efforts of the main characters in the aftermath of the first season’s climactic events.” [Amazfeed, 19 DEC 2022]
Lance Reddick plays a more prominent role, same humour, just in space.
A slow burn that winds up to deliver one hell of a punch! Well-crafted cliffhanger!
Can’t wait for season 2.
Damn! Was I supposed to be stoned to enjoy this one?!!
Sigh! After this ep, really considering dropping it…
For Pete’s sake! Why has every episode turned into some existential soul-searching bullshit?!! It’s feeling more and more like a soap opera…was that what it was like?
I kinda got the feeling that Mack’s subconscious was assimilated into the beginnings of a Borg-like collective conscious. Maybe the Borg used to package the assimilation as an all expenses paid trip to the universe. Then, things got ugly.
Damn! I wanted her to have the happy ending and everyone else to get f*cked! Bummer!
OMG! They even f@@ked up Metallica! Is nothing sacred anymore?!!
I tried…dropping this crapfest.
I hope this movie is better than Amsterdam that Bale is in. I had to stop watching it after about 10 minutes. I really couldn’t get a feel for this movie from the trailer, maybe a longer trailer will be released close to January 6th. I’ve always been fascinated with Edger Allen Poe, not by his literary works, but by his unsolved murder.
I recognize the lack of compassion and empathy in me (I blame my choices of TV/Film “entertainment”), but the same speech over and over and over again coming from the exact same idiots would make me open fire from word one! Of course, writers are to blame (as well as whoever is standing in for them) for putting out such repetitive drivel.
Maybe there is some hope for me since I hung in there expecting an uptick in quality. Nah! Just insanity!
