Oasis (2017)
Dodi -3 points 4 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

The “chaplain” walking into the hangar and lighting right up turned me right off. What’s with the writers plugging cancer sticks?

Only God Can Judge Me (2018)
Dodi 0 points 4 years ago.

Great German flick.

Call Me by Your Name (2017)
Dodi -5 points 4 years ago.

I see this as a movie about pedophilia.

A Murder of Quality (1991)
Dodi 4 points 4 years ago.

Joss Ackland is one cool prof. Tight classic with young Christian Bale.

Purge (2012)
Dodi 2 points 4 years ago*.

Terrifying. The Communists were worse than the Nazis. Another face of the holocaust. My roots. Then the horrors of today’s sex slave trade. Our collective roots.

The Strain (2014) S1 E2
Jhigh03 -3 points 4 years ago.

Yeah this was his baby. And he killed it with a completely original take on the normally played out vampire mythos.

Dodi 0 points 4 years ago*.

Putting it in that category shows a pretty limited vision, Jhigh, and many would also say it is a “spoiler”. The show rocks, regardless. :)

The Strain (2014) S1 E2
Dodi 2 points 4 years ago.

Can’t believe just caught this. A Guillermo del Toro production says it all.

Trollhunter (2010)

Cold Pursuit (2019)
sunshinedaydreamz 0 points 5 years ago.

I really feel like i’m in the twilight zone. I saw this movie between 6-12 months ago screener quality. But the the ending was totally different, and some parts were added. I’m feeling completely insane. Did I really see it? I must have because I knew the vast majority of the movie. Did anyone else see it? At any rate, it’s a great movie. And the bad guy is the star of the show.

Dodi 3 points 5 years ago.

Yes, wasn’t that the original Norwegian make? I know I saw it too and want to find it now. lol

The Game (1997)

Remi, Nobody's Boy (2018)
Dodi 2 points 5 years ago*.

I like inspiring, Dickens kind of stories like this, especially with a great actor like Daniel Auteuil, always a touchstone of quality entertainment. The rich cinematography was a real pleasure to boot.

Invasion of the Saucer Men (1957)

Just love it. I saw it the first time as youngster on TV while I was baby sitting and it spooked me out. Now I see how campy it is. lol

So excited! A Bergman film I haven’t yet seen. Yahoo! But no English subtitles. :(

Roma (2018)
Dodi 2 points 5 years ago.

This is so good, I’m half way through and just realized it’s all in black and white. It is amazing. At first I thought it was a director led film, but then the story starts unfolding, and I can see why it got all the Oscar awards and nominations.

The Lickerish Quartet (1970)
Dodi 3 points 5 years ago.

Hmmm. The single host vev.io does not seem to be a free streaming source. Do you have to join them to view flick? Confused. lol

Good movie portrayal on life after getting out of prison. Makes you think a lot about existence, and being grateful for the simple things a lot of us take for granted. 4/5

Thank you all for your comments, in a free world it is ok to express your views about things as long as your not being hurtful, stating a dislike for a particular program is by no way a judgement on anyone who might like the program, its a free world after all well for the most part.

Dodi 0 points 5 years ago.

Why did you hate it, and watch the whole time around?

La Dolce Vita (1960)

ok thanks for the tips. you are actually the aggressor here so i dunno what your problem is. no where did i say i dont have bud that doesnt get me high for 3-4 hours. you made an assumption. if you must know, ive been working with cannabis cup winners and have found some amazing specimens. no matter how good it is, its still missing something from the strains of old. the quality is different. closest thing ive had to the dreamy hours long effects from thai strains is blueberry, flo, and blue heaven. the most exciting effects i get are found by crossing these out to as pure of a sativa as i can find. my favourite is a hawaiian sativa. by crossing dj shorts flo with that hawaiian gave me a strain that literally felt like an elevator going from the first floor all the way up to 100. the literal definition of getting lifted. so again. please do not assume i grow shitty weed. the f2 generation of a cross between an “indica” and a “sativa” is where you will find unique characteristics and highs. most breeding today is related to the chem dog and og kush family with hundreds of variations of the same genetics. my only point to any of my posts is to say that we need to forget about what we know about indica and sativa and make a new definition for them. i suggest calling indicas “afghanicas” from now on since its a more suitable name. and since Indica is derived from “India” which is in a tropic climate, i think we should call Sativas “indicas” now. what do you think?

Dodi 1 points 5 years ago.

Good stuff, Green. :)

Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer (2018)
[deleted]
Dodi 1 points 5 years ago.

No kidding, Sherlock. It’s a loaded statement because abortion is not murder, and no one chooses to use it as birth control. But what Gosnell did is murder. Did you watch the movie? So stop setting up women, and using them, as sex objects, seducing them, abandoning them. Do you use a condom every time?

Loaded statement, spin doctoring. It’s not what it shows at all.

Mortal Engines (2018)

This was great fun. Really enjoyed it last night.

El Angel (2018)
Dodi 1 points 5 years ago.

Just been reading up on the real Robledo Puch whom this movie is based on. The only thing that irks me is that the director/writer took the liberty of reimagining Carlos (the fictionalized version of Robledo) as a gay psychopathic killer although no official version of Carlos’ story hints at any queer identity. Really sick of all the gay propaganda shoved down our throats.

Death on a Factory Farm (2009)
Dodi 1 points 5 years ago.

So sad. I know pig meat tastes good, but maybe dog meat does too, but we don’t eat dogs, and pigs are way, way smarter than dogs. When I first found out how smart pigs are, it made me very sad indeed.

The Normans (2010) S1 E1
Dodi 1 points 5 years ago.

Really interesting. Like Vikings and the Game of Thrones, but history. The poor Anglo Saxons. lol

Murder Mountain (2018)
Dodi 1 points 5 years ago.

I didn’t stop to think that legalization would put a lot of mom and pop farmers out of business. Sad.
