I remember when Nadia was the star of the Olympics and all eyes were on her.

TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Yeah me too, got all dewy-eyed reading the info here, think i’ll have to watch this. Nadia C was an incredible gymnast, a very exciting time in sports, i remember her getting the first perfect 10 score, truly amazing :))x

The Answer Man (2009)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

I really fancied a comedy/romance tonight and i like Lauren Graham so thought this might be the ticket. Sadly it isn’t really a comedy in the sense of it’s just not funny; the main character is such a douche, i tried to like him for over an hour but in the end decided i didn’t care what happened to him so didn’t stick around for the conclusion. Very slow pace, i got bored with it and you’ve seen this same story done better many times elsewhere. Disappointing. :((x

Balthazar (2018) S2 E4
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Gad how i love this programme! All human Life is here, very dramatic but the characters are so quirky and interesting, (very Gallic, or Belgian actually) somehow makes it fun too. Enjoying S2.. tantalizing ending! Thanks Uploader! :))x

The Thief of Baghdad (1961)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago*.

‘The Thief of Bagdad” Ha-Sheesh, That takes me back.. i used to love Steve Reeves movies when i was a kid. Between the days when it was all cowboys and indians and when the first Bond film appeared in ‘62, there were a few years when ‘sword and sandal’ flicks were all the rage. Made in Italy or Spain and dubbed into English they were mini epics really, often including large casts of extras in crowd and battle scenes. The special effects of the day may appear rudimentary by today’s standards but the were surprisingly effective nonetheless in a more dreamlike than ‘real’ way, and as these films are essentially fairytales it works well. I just re watched this ‘Thief of Bagdad’ and thoroughly enjoyed it, a bit of Love, a bit of villainy, bit of magic.. Sweet! Good old Steve Reeves, wot a hunk! There are a few places where the English dubbing suddenly stops and it all goes Italian for a moment before returning to English.. all part of the experience, like a wonky old midnight movie! Simpler times my friends, Enjoy! :))x

From thecinemaholic—(Updated June 23, 2020) “Once Acorn TV gives it a go-ahead, we can expect ‘Balthazar’ season 3 to premiere sometime in 2021.”
Patience worked before, keep your fingers crossed!

Hey that’s good to know, thanks for the update :))x

Balthazar (2018)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Oh Joy! I asked for someone to post links for S2 of Balthazar months ago, have checked back occasionally but without success. Now i look and it seems there’s links for all of S2, Yippee! I really like this guy, he’s very droll and a good character, good storyline, i enjoyed S1 very much. Now i’ll have to put in another request as i believe there’s a S3 now.. it’s all go isn’t it! Whoever did the uploading, well you’re my hero, THANKYOU so much! :))x

Rick Astley: Never Gonna Give You Up (1987)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Just have to look at the poster of Rick Astley here and be reminded of Bill Hicks “DANGEROUS” skit that features “Never gonna give you up/Never gonna make you cry”. Bill didn’t think much of Rick and since that sketch neither do i. How i miss BILL HICKS :((x

Artemis Fowl (2020)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

I haven’t read any of the AF books but figure i’d be disappointed in this movie if i had. It’s hard to say exactly why it doesn’t work.. In a world where fairies are a hi-tech paramilitary force the CGI is impressive and there are some good action sequences but the story is lacking as is the acting. Artemis the actor is unconvincing, his acting consists of one ‘serious’ expression.. The fairy Holly Short, played by Lara McDonnell, is the best actor on show, while the bargain-basement Hagrid-lookalike dwarf played by Josh Gad is sadly no Robbie Coltrane. Even the presence of Judi Dench can’t lift the enterprise though i fancy she enjoyed playing in pointy ears!. Ken Brannagh’s direction is sound enough, the film looks great but would’ve been a lot better had they spent less on CGi and more on plot development and acting.. and Jeez why do action flicks need so much insistent, weepy music throughout every piece of dialogue. It would’ve been much better to make a series of this story as originally intended with less expensive tech wizardry and better writing. Generally altogether unsatisfactory and they left a BiG open-end for further instalments, which if they’re made really will need be a lot better after the poor reception of this mish-mash.. i wonder if Disney will want to risk the cash after being forced by CV to release this direct to streaming? They spent $125 million on this movie for an 88 minute entertainment, extremely poor value when you do the math. Best line, “This world needs more fairies like you.” How true :((

Drifting Dragons (2020)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

I started to watch this anime when it first came out but found it quite distasteful. It’s basically an apologia for whaling in the guise of a sci-fi group of adventurers who hunt dragons from an airship, shooting them with great harpoon guns ‘the reward is riches and all the meat they can eat’. Utterly repugnant, best avoided! :((x

Summer Magic (1963)
ckgranger 1 points 4 years ago.

do you now how much i wish this movie had a sequel so i could know what happens next?!

TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

I know, i loved this film SO much as a kid, big crush on Hayley Mills who happened to live in my home-town. The score was written by the Sherman brothers and the song that Burl Ives sings “On the Front-Porch” was Robert Sherman’s personal favourite composition.. a few years ago i even wrote an extra verse to make it longer, i still sing it occasionally! These days they’d probably have turned the movie into a series but as it is, what happened next, sadly we shall never know! Enjoyed your comment though :))x

The Big Bang Theory (2007)
TisOnlyMe 2 points 3 years ago.

While everyone else here is lamenting the conclusion of BBT i’ve just finished watching the 1st series after putting it off for, well the past 13 years! People used to encourage me to watch it but for some reason i thought it was a sketch show so i didn’t bother as i don’t care for comics much. Thought i’d watch the pilot recently and have to say i Love the show, it’s hilarious and totally addictive once you get into it. I look forward to, gulp, the next 11 seasons + specials.. Jeepers, should keep me going till Christmas at a rate of 1 or 2 eps each day! Anyway, Brilliant show, SO glad i finally came to realise and appreciate it’s charms.. Sheldon really is one of comedy’s finest inventions! Thanks Uploaders :))x

Galaxy Quest (1999)
Dante89 2 points 3 years ago.

Quite entertaining actually. Very goofy and it had it’s moments. 7/10

TisOnlyMe -1 points 3 years ago.

Erm, surely don’t you mean ‘Comedy Classic’, extremely funny Sci-Fi spoof, with the all-star cast yes and generally brilliant story? Yeah, thought so! I’d also give it 7/10 but y’know i’m a hard marker! Great film for anyone hasn’t seen it and wants a good laff :))x

The Big Bang Theory (2007) S1 E14

TheAbsintheFairey 2 points 3 years ago.

Awww really?? Thats brilliant! So glad I helped you find it! Have you seen The Red Shoes 1948? Another magical movie ♥

TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

That’s why i enjoy reading comments of what others have to say about a film or series..sometimes they just nudge you into watching something you might otherwise have missed.. Ooh we do love a good comment! ..and sometimes it leads on and becomes a discussion, even better! Yes i watched RED SHOES many years ago but thanks for the reminder, i may well watch it again now you’ve mentioned it. Someone else posted about ‘ROMAN HOLIDAY’ yesterday saying that’s a classic.. Sure, saw that long ago too but.. well we’ll have to see how long Lockdown continues, we might easily end up watching the entire MGM back catalogue at this rate! Suggestions are always welcome and valued.. and as ever THANKS to all Uploaders, my heroes!! :))x

Mystery Woman (2003)
[deleted]
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Hey, Actually the link on this page is for episode 6 of MYSTERY WOMAN from Aug 22nd 2006 ‘Redemption’. I say THE link as only Version 1 for Mixdrop works for me, the other is blocked so maybe that’s for the correct episode but certainly the ep i just watched doesn’t match the written description. Incidentally i’m not writing this in order to report a wrong link, i’ll do that separately, i’m just letting you know, so you know.. Thanks for posting these eps, i enjoyed this series on Sky back when i still had a TV, can’t believe it’s 17yrs ago! Thanks ToM :))x

Beautiful and totally accurate assessment ♥

TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

Well THANK YOU..it was reading your comment which made me check out his little gem of a picture in the first place and I hadn’t ever seen it before. I love those old 50s musicals and this is such a gentle story, i found it very touching.. Recommended to all incurable romantics! :))x

Lili (1953)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Hey, what a Lovely movie, sweet, romantic and charming, absolutely delightful! It’s a treat to see a young Leslie Caron, she dances beautifully. A young Mel Ferrer too, so handsome and Zsa Zsa Gabor, wow she really was exquisite back in the day! A great film to watch when your heart needs a boost, but be careful who you watch it with.. it had me in tears 3 times! :))x

Falling Inn Love (2019)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

This turned out to be a lot better than i’d expected, an enjoyable little Rom-Com. Totally ‘Hallmarkian’, in fact they used one of Hallmark’s half-dozen standard stories, “girl meets boy, doesn’t like him but..” No spoiler required, if this is your kind of film you’ve already seen this story before. A good difference here is, well there are 2 in fact. First, Christina Milian is a very likeable leading lady, pretty and cheerful, i enjoyed spending time with her, hope to see her again. Also, this flick is set in New Zealand so it makes a nice change from Vermont or Maine and benefits from the Kiwi setting, humour and music. “Falling inn Love” was alright, i enjoyed it.. if you like a good Hallmark romance sure you’ll enjoy it too! :))x

Saving Grace (2007) S3 E17
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

Wow, a very emotional episode.. this series has been a real roller-coaster ride! :))x

Miss Sherlock (2018)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

A different take on the classic detective story, set in modern day Tokyo with a female Sherlock and ‘Wato-san’ her side-kick. Elementary it ain’t and each ep is too short for any real depth, you can see why ‘MISS SHERLOCK” only lasted for one short series, but in a fluffy, very Japanese way it’s quite enjoyable.. Lightweight and amusing, a perfect watch after 10 weeks of Lockdown, well i’m enjoying it anyhow! :))x

The Beatles on Record (2009)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 3 years ago.

This is a very fun little potted biopsy of the Beatles career in song.. lots of snippets of practically everything from the beginning to the end, Love Me Do thru Abby Road. I loved it and sang along with every song, Ahhhh them’s were the daze! You learned all the lyrics forever by listening to the albums over and over.. The prog takes it’s narration from comments made by the band themselves + George Martin and lots of film and photies.. yus i really enjoyed this.. Altogether Now .. Fab! :))x

Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments (2016) S2 E7
Boytoyroy 1 points 3 years ago.

I give up! This just keeps getting more stupid.

TisOnlyMe 1 points 3 years ago.

You got a lot more stamina than me Boytoy.. i gave it up after S1 Ep2 for the same reason! The original movie was better and worth a watch though :))x https://www.primewire.li/movie/752273-watch-the-mortal-instruments-city-of-bones

The Wrong Missy (2020)
TisOnlyMe -1 points 4 years ago.

Jeez, i lasted under 6 mins with this one and that was 5 mins too long! Another unfunny Netflix so-called-comedy disaster..or maybe it’s just me. Whatever, not to my taste anyway.. NEXT! :))x

Pure Country (1992)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 4 years ago.

SUCH a great movie (..of it’s kind y’know) Hard to believe it’s 28 yrs old! George Strait looks so young.. Aww, Love me some country music..the Angels will be playing steel guitars when i get to Heaven.. Yeehah! :))x

Prodigal Son (2019) S1 E18
Antigov_one 0 points 4 years ago.

Man i love this show!

TisOnlyMe 0 points 4 years ago.

I totally agree! ‘PRODIGAL SON’ has been consistently interesting with lots of twists and turns and some great surprise endings. In turn it’ll make you smile or make your skin crawl, a fine mix of light and dark.. a really good story! :))x

Hey that was great, history of Jazz, very interesting.. on to the next episode! Thanks for uploading the new links! :))x

Contact (1997)
TisOnlyMe 7 points 4 years ago.

This is an amazing movie based on the novel CONTACT by Carl Sagan. Jodie foster is perfect as the impassioned astronomer Dr Ellie Arroway + a strong cast inc Matthew McConnaughy, Tom Skerrit, John Hurt, Angela Bassett. I find it to be a very moving film, a great reminder to keep in touch with our Humanity.. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Hi-5 Sci-Fi! :))x

Fleetwood Mac's Songbird: Christine McVie (TV Special 2019) (2019)
TisOnlyMe -1 points 4 years ago.

Wow, this is a great prog about Christine McVie and Fleetwood Mac, lots of interview, loads of wonderful songs, a lot of history of the band.. very interesting. Excellent documentary, well worth a look :))x

Arrival (2016)
TisOnlyMe 3 points 4 years ago.

An extraordinary SF movie starring Amy Adams as a language expert. The film unfolds slowly, you might call it understated, it leaves you with a feeling of serenity. It reminded me of Jodie Foster’s wonderful ‘CONTACT’ only with much less action.. I thought ‘ARRIVAL’ was rather special, really enjoyed it.. Thanks for the upload :))x

Second Chance (2016) S1 E1

Miss Scarlet (2020)
TisOnlyMe 5 points 4 years ago.

I just watched the first episode and was impressed by the quality of this new British costume-drama. A Lady Detective in Victorian London.. makes a change! Good production values and acting, looks like the start of an entertaining series, if this is your kind of thing :))x

The Joy of the Guitar Riff (2014)

Aaaahh, a gentle trip down memory lane, spot-lighting some of the most iconic guitar-riffs from over the decades.. Happy Memories, a fun watch! :))x

The Ghost & Mrs. Muir (1968) S1 E21
TisOnlyMe 0 points 4 years ago.

This episode has a guest appearance of a very young-looking Richard Dreyfuss.. i recognized him immediately by his voice not his face! SUCH a long time ago.. :))x

The Front (2010)
TisOnlyMe -1 points 4 years ago.

This is one of those really sloppy ‘made-for-TV’ movies with way too much music going on in the background, constant tinkly piano and strings, Too damn loud.. can’t hear what they’re saying for all the ruddy music!! So instead of the script driving the story along, here the drama is solely supplied by the orchestra.. Disappointing :((x

But I'm a Cheerleader (2000)

An extremely funny movie, i remember the scene with the chainsaw.. Priceless! :))x

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo (2012)

Hey, this is a really good anime series, school/ slice of Life. Watched it when it came out, it was fun. Enjoy! :))x

Commander in Chief (2005)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 4 years ago.

I’ve always been a fan of Geena Davis, a very good actress, so i was interested to see this series posted here.. i’d never heard of it before.. another PW discovery! Just watched the first few eps and it’s rather good, like ‘The West Wing’ with her as the President so what’s not to like! Thanks for the Upload and for the opportunity to catch up on some great serieses (serii?) missed the first time around :))x

In/Spectre (2020)
TisOnlyMe -2 points 4 years ago.

I just watched the final episode of S1 of “In/Spectre” today. It started off well, interesting characters and set-up, but the storyline got bogged down in one supernatural case ‘Steel Lady Nanase” and it all slowed down into a lot of talk and not much action, became rather boring in the end. Slow y’know. Still it was one of the better few in a generally very poor quarter of new anime; Jan-Mar 2020 has been the worst quarter of stories since i started watching anime regularly 10yrs ago. Hope there’ll be a few good new ones from April. ‘In/Spectre was OK though, 3/5 i wouldn’t be surpried to see a second series in time :))x

Just My Type (2020)
TisOnlyMe -1 points 4 years ago.

Awwww, Cute new Hallmark romance.. I know, i know, dreadful right, but some are better than others and this one was quite sweet! Oh well, it helped to pass some time during lockdown.. one for closet romantics everywhere :))x

Saving Grace (2007) S1 E13
TisOnlyMe 0 points 4 years ago.

Wow, super intense ending to the first series! Great acting from Holly Hunter and all the cast, can’t believe i missed this when it was on, glad to find it here now. ‘SAVING GRACE’ is an excellent drama with a lot of guts and a lot of heart, am really enjoying it. Oh well, on to S2! Salutations and Thanks to the uploaders! :))x

Crossing Jordan (2001)
TisOnlyMe 0 points 4 years ago.

I really loved this series back in the day, can’t believe it started 19 yrs ago! The lovely Jill Hennessy as a maverick medical examiner. Easygoing cop/ forensic series, worth a watch if you’re locked in with nothing better to do! :))x

Stardust (2007)
MyongSooksoo 3 points 4 years ago.

It´s awesome in so many ways! Particulary the scene when Robert De Niro does the cancan always brings a smile to my face! :D

TisOnlyMe 1 points 4 years ago.

“We always knew you was a Whoopsie Captain!” Priceless!! Perfect feelgoood movie, not a scene out of place.. 5 star :))x

Prodigal Son (2019)
TisOnlyMe 6 points 4 years ago.

‘PRODIGAL SON’ has been a really enjoyable story, sadly only one more episode next week and it’ll be over :( Michael Sheen is wonderfully crazy-looking as the serial-killer Dad, Tom Payne, Lou Diamond Philips, a strong cast with interesting characters. Each ep there’s a case to investigate sure, but there’s a strong ongoing story arc continuing throughout as well. There are also at least two bangin’ surprise endings that really slam you when they happen.. There’s gentle humour happening too. I shall miss this prog when it’s over, but may well go back and watch it over again from the start, pick up on details i missed the first time.. it’s well worth a second look, ..or a first, if you like a good police/ serial-killer/ character-driven story, if you haven’t seen it yet. Recommended :))x

Altered Carbon (2018)
TisOnlyMe 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

It’s really annoying when there are whole scenes in a foreign language (here it’s Spanish) without any subs. It’s something i’ve noticed in other NF series.. you’d think with all their resources they might provide translation so you could actually follow the story! :((x

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947)
PonderThis 0 points 4 years ago.

She was a great actress but she was also an inventor and very intelligent. Some say her inventions lead to what we now call the “cell phone” or as the Europeans call them mobile phones.

TisOnlyMe 2 points 4 years ago.

Sorry you have that wrong, it wasn’t Gene Tierney, it was Hedy Lamarr who also invented as a hobby, notably something called ‘Frequency-hopping spread spectrum’ which today is used in Bluetooth apparently :))x
