IMDb only has 58 votes. That’s why it’s an unusually high rating for a movie no one has heard of. Basically, the cast, crew, and their families voted.

This was really good. Bill Nighy is perfect, and the music is actually great. Thank you, uploaders.

Thank you for the links! Especially the streamplay one. They’re really the only links that work either without issues or at all.

This is an example of a movie that would’ve benefited greatly from reference accents.

He is so funny. Physical comedy with everyday observational humour. I just love him. Thank you, uploaders!

Cult Killer: The Story of Rick Rodriguez (2006)

This is the f$cked up cult that River and Joaquin Phoenix’s family was involved in. Unbelievably horrific and devastatingly sad. Thank you, uploaders.

This was confusing. They said the Kern guy and the Sussman guy are Sandy’s brothers right up until the VERY end when they suddenly say Kern is Sandy’s wife’s brother, but the other brother’s last name is Sussman and that isn’t Sandy’s last name or his parents’ surname. And the actors playing Jon and Sandy kind of look similar, and I had to repeat so many sections over to try to figure out who was whose family member. Good grief.

“A mind is a terrible thing… .”. I think this movie is hilarious and it has a nice message.

If I had not seen it in a trailer/preview or in a conversation on social media, I wouldn’t have written this. TLC posts so many pieces of the episodes on their Facebook and other pages, that I only write about what we have already seen anywhere online. Sometimes I think I’ve missed an episode as I read comments about a preview clip, only to find that the discussion is regarding an upcoming week’s episode based on a lengthy snippet of what TLC has posted all over the place. I cannot spoil what I haven’t yet seen. And I wrote this…before I watched Episode 2. I will try not to use the hundreds of almost unavoidable previews when I write anything from here on in, though. But please know that I never spoil. Not like the person who blurted out the entire ending to Avengers’ Endgame two days after it came out in the theatres. And then had hurt feelings when everyone asked her to take her comment down or use spoiler tags, lol. 😂

I wish I could visit MY grandmother when she was a young woman, too. She was a preacher’s wife, married in the 30s, and they ran the Hope Mission in Edmonton, AB. There is a homeless shelter house named after us there now. But one day she blurted out to me “I played drums in a jazz band.” They never went to dances, and she was always the church pianist, and no one in the family knew this drumming story until she told me when she was almost 80, lol. I bet she had some other secrets that would’ve been so much fun to learn. Why can’t time travel be real?

Ditto! Tom Hanks will nail it. Funny thing: They considered Jim Carrey for a minute until they saw THIS SNL parody.

Ditzygypsy -4 points 4 years ago*.

Oh no! I do not think I could’ve taken the movie seriously if they’d chosen him, lol. Mr, Rogers was so kind. And he was good friends with my toddler TV hero here in Canada, Mr. Dressup. It took me until I was 34 to see him in person, but it was a surreal experience, because I have better early childhood memory retention than I have now. (Like I have waning short term memory now, but I can remember many details starting at just before my 1st birthday.) And I think Fred Rogers made the world a better place. I like Carrey, but not for this role, lol. Thank for that!

Iris (2002)
Ditzygypsy -1 points 4 years ago.

It’s surprising how much Kate Winslet looks like young Iris Murdoch. And I know Prof. Bayley was a scholar, but he almost seemed like he was a bit mentally challenged, and not just socially awkward. He remarried after Iris’ death in 1999. He ended up leaving his second wife over £4 million. Thank you, uploaders. streamplay.to links are the only links that work without problems or often are the only links that even work at all now. Please keep using that source.

I have insomnia. I love James Bond. Connery, especially. But I have tried four times to make it to the end of this movie, and I have fallen asleep every time. I don’t dislike Daniel Craig. He’s just not Fleming’s Bond. If you read any of the books, Timothy Dalton is actually the closest to the book character. So I just realized that I haven’t watched a Bond movie in over a decade now. I like the gadgets, the action, the weird bad guy characters, and even the beautiful women. This is just too in-your-head for me. Can anyone out there tell me if I can try any of the other Craig Bond movies without having seen this one to the end? Thank you!

I'm Not Here (2019)
Ditzygypsy -1 points 5 years ago.

I think I understand the ending to this, but maybe how I interpret it isn’t how someone else would. It’s very poignant and sad. I was surprised to learn that Simmons is younger than my alcoholic ex husband by a few years as he looks like he could be my father in this film, and even when he’s not all roughed up like he is for this movie. He’s only 10 years older than I am. But his acting, without speaking one single word, is truly incredible. And Sebastian Stan did a fabulous job, too. Thank you, uploaders.

Ukrainian girl will only eventually show up if the producers talk her into it for fame/money. She’s been catfishing that dude for over four years (and over $40K). I mean, look at HER and look at HIM. Being a nice and good person doesn’t matter to her; only $$$ do. And Desperate Darcey will end up turning off her latest target with her, well, her whole desperately-annoying self. Meanwhile the Georgia lady will show up at the airport and her 20-years-younger Internet “date” (such an oxymoron; heavy on the “moron”) will think she’s sent her own mother to the airport instead of “the love of his life” 🤣🤣, because the filter she used on their video chats made her look like she was her own daughter (oh, beware, internet “daters”😂😂😂). And I don’t even know where to begin with midwestern All-American girl-turned to [her] flavour-of-the-moment religious experience with Islam going into the Death Zone that is Syria to marry a complete (and probably completely misogynistic) stranger. There is no end to the idiocy that desperation brings. Be happy with yourself. If you’re not, no one else can make you happy or will want to be with someone who doesn’t even like themselves. These are just my guesses.

These are all from the videoclips just on the show’s Facebook pages. Never mind the many lengthy pieces on youtube or TLC or any other Previews of this Episode on the Internet. Downvote away. I wrote this BEFORE watching Episode 1. That’s why they are my GUESSES! 😂😂😂

I hate Broadway. Songs are written specifically for non-singers. Always awful. Especially Andrew Lloyd Webber 🤮. Awful. Even Cole Porter joked about his melodies requiring zero range. And I still know that Mamma Mia is the worst movie cast and made that I have ever suffered through, but then I actually love Abba. But this thing is now running a pretty close tie with MM for worst movie ever. Omg. This is awful. Run away from this. Save yourselves the agony. Such great talent in it; most of whom should never sing a note. Marion was actually the best singer of all of them, and she’s not even a singer. P.U. What a nightmare. 🤢🤮.

Darcey: “I’m not the same person [that I was when I perpetrated the Jesse “relationship” fiasco].”
Every Sentient Being Who is Familiar with Said Faisco: “That’s correct. You’re older and even more insecure and ridiculous.” 😂

What will [super hot, gorgeous, disinterested, and only in it for the money] Maria do when she goes to hawk that extra cheap 100% fake “diamond” ring Ceasar bought for her (that is, if she ever even shows up to meet him)? That is an episode all on its own.
Angela having a baby. 🤢 Possibly giving birth to her own grandchild. 😖 I started menopause at 48. Before that, I could get pregnant just by thinking naughty thoughts, but at 48, it was over. She can’t use her own old eggs. And the cost of her doing in vitro (especially in the US) is far more than her ultra-hideous redneck bumpkin dream wedding would be, lol. I also found myself wondering how she and her friend Dottie managed to fit into that itty bitty car… .😳

The George Michael guy whose name I can’t even remember isn’t that interesting, but in the name of all that is holy, he had better NOT give the out-of-his-league, stunning-looking, hot-headed Latin woman the second-hand ring. If she EVER finds out (and she will), he’ll probably wish he had died in a plane crash on the way to meet her. I don’t think it’s that bad, but she definitely will.
Little Miss Teen American Muslim convertee is just a dumb, stubborn child.
And FaceTime Filter Rebecca is just about as pathetic as Darcey. Doomed.
That is all.

I tried for as I long as I could, but there is a lot of German spoken in here that should’ve been hard coded subtitles. I use iOS, and I never download the movies unless I’m going to move them to another older iOS device that I dedicate to storage and to save things to. Thank you, anyhow, uploaders. For anyone who does speak German and watches this, watching “Operation Finale” first will help fill in some of the historical background about the capture of Adolf Eichmann that is kind of needed to give this movie better historical context, and it’s also a very good movie, too.

Thank you. I’m sorry I tried searching for it awhile back, and then today I just got so tired of referring “somewhere else” to my To Watch list, because it’s such a toxic place. Thank you so much. I just figured I was probably in a small minority of iOS-mobile-only users anyhow. I know how to use it. The hyperlink doesn’t actually do anything, though, and it’s ok if it’s just my kind of device that it doesn’t work for, but I posted it just in case no one knew. Thank you!

I get this is supposed to be real-life-ish, but do these people all have to have such hideously-1972-styled homes crammed full of junk? And they all look like such dirty houses. Ugly yards. Dirty wallpaper and icky cupboards. My in laws are from 15 mins. outside of Philly in SJ, and they all have amazingly clean and nice homes. Big homes. They’re not wealthy (you could buy three or four homes there for the price of one small home or condo here in SW BC), but they’re not gross like these. I thought maybe it was supposed to have taken place in 1975 or something, but the cars and the phones they all have say otherwise. And then there’s the poor stab at the Delco accent. I love Kate, but yikes.

I thought it was a great flick. Breath of fresh air really, compared to the same ol mindnumbing drivel released every month with just a different title.

Well, I didn’t like it, and I don’t watch the same types of films or read the same types of books all the time. The boy with the unexplainable magical powers was just part of what was silly about this very full-of-itself movie.
