Watching this is like reading some of the comment sections here. And I laughed at this as much as I laugh at many of the commentators.

JadeEnigma, I find a lot of shows these days distasteful, and some are probably things you like. Each to his own. I just love history, and knowing that most of these families either lost it all or died out makes me sort of smirk at their going-ons.

I’ve been very interested in studying the prepper community, and they are dead serious. And you know what they collect besides the essentials? Weapons, especially guns, to protect their hoard. Prepper world is very scary.

I tried watching the 1st season and I didn’t like how some characters were treated and I know that classism was very strong in this time period. Maybe someday I’ll try watching it again.

If you aren’t familiar with the term “predictive programming”, which has been used a couple of times in the comments here, it is a conspiracy theory claiming that the government, the illuminati, or the elites are using mass media as a method of mind control, sending out hidden messages to brainwash viewers and make us more accepting of planned events in the future. They also think that it is used to mislead the public in advance of “false flag events”.

In other news, there has been a sharp increase in the sale of aluminum foil.

Heath Ledger did a version of this in the early aughts, and it was much better.

in my country,we have a state owned media,which produces since ages series/movies according to the media-workers political believes..ergo nobody really watches them anymore and private media outranks state media as well since ages,but we HAVE to finance them(the state media by taxes).

I think we can both agree that it’s best to hope that we never have to put it to the test.

We see the world through very different eyes. Mine see a land of plenty where half a million people are homeless and an estimated 2K of them die every year just from exposure to the elements. A country where 50K die every year due to lack of access to adequate health care or life-saving medications. If we can’t take care of our most vulnerable when times aren’t that hard what hope is there that we would do better in a post-apocalyptic world?

Seems like predictive programming propaganda. That said, I enjoyed it very much. I read Obama gave some help to the screen writers, “to make it more realistic” …..right. Interesting. Also humanity’s friend Klaus Swab “predicted” two years ago that there will be cyber attacks, amongst other crisis. Obama and Klaus are on the same side of history. So take note of what this film is messaging us. It will be what they want us to think. Cheers!

This movie was a fun little watch. I enjoyed it, my wife enjoyed and my little ones enjoyed it. But my friend didn’t. That’s how it works. Some like it - some don’t.. So I am not understanding the point you are trying to make, at all. In fact, what you are saying has no merit to what my post said in the first place. So please, tell me. What does what the movie grossed have to do with if someone liked the film or not? This movie wasn’t advertised or promoted much due to the writers/actors strike that was going on. That is going to have a major effect on what the movie makes in theaters. As most had no idea when it was being released. If you didn’t like the film, awesome. It’s called personal taste. So please stop trying to push your argument here. It has nothing to do with my original comment.

I think that’s the problem. No one can see past how handsome he is. I judge actors on their ability to make me believe they’re the character their playing. An aloof Superman was not believable. Attack me all you want. Just didn’t care for him as Superman.

I was bored to bits. Hardly any emotion comes across. It was a chore to finish the movies.

We love Cavill. I cannot believe no one cared for him as Superman; we sure did. The way emotion plays across his face is superb. Plus, my wife has a huge crush on him. He’s handsome and talented. We had zero idea he was “booted” as Superman. What a HUGE mistake. Wow.

Flat and flat. I honestly do like the guy. But there hasn’t been one thing that I’ve liked so far. If he was so good in Superman, he wouldn’t of got booted. No one really cared for him as Superman.

We’re very excited to watch this. I’m not a fan of her music, but I will admit to the fact that she is a very talented performer and lyricist, and has done some good things in the world. She projects a kind energy that I think the world needs right now.
