Judith Light looks so different with that hair color and style. Decent story line. Nice to see that Charlie isn’t infallible with her gifts. Clever way to commit a murder, but I wonder how Irene was able to get back down that trellis. She seemed to have enough trouble going up!
Alien's comments
That’s my dilemna, too much good stuff to watch. I just started Outer Range too w/Josh Brolin. You seen it? First epi is fantastic, w/an excellent cast. Looking forward to more of it.
I have seen it and I’m eagerly awaiting season 2 because there has to be one.
This reminds me of Mare of Easttown. Another sad commentary on the depressed and forgotten people of America.
Obviously, we are going to need a couple more seasons to tie this up with a pretty bow.
If you like it, you might also like a movie that the creators of OA made awhile back, which also stars Brit Marling, with Alexander Skaarsgard and Ellen Page, called The East.
Brit Marling is brilliant. She creates, writes and stars in her own movies/shows. Triple threat.
The series was in pre-production, but on March 12, 2020, production was halted due to COVID-19. The series will premiere in 2021.
I just love catching bloopers! The girls hands had been zip-tied together, then they were zip-tied to the arms of the chair.
technically the nukes ,rockets ,anything cleaver and even getting to the moon and all the Apollo missions was done by Nazi scientists Americans hired or kidnapped ,pardoned for war crimes and gave barrels of money .
I get John’s indignation on the subject. I know countless millions feel the same, as do I. But he basically rehashed what is already known.
My favorite part was the parting of ways with the void.
Loved the song and the dig at you-know-who. Priceless? We shall see.
Someone might have to pay for that.
To say this a strange story is an understatement. There are some funny moments, punctuated by the guy laughing in the audience. But as the story progresses, I find it more horrifying then anything else. All the while the cast is surrounded by magnificent scenery, they they are finding ways to be hurtful to themselves and others. Being the animal lover that I am I was not please what finally brought this story to a conclusion. It is well done and the acting is flawless.
Thanks, good review. I will wait till the laughing guy leaves the theater.
This is an excellent adaptation of Jules Verne’s fantastical adventure.
David Tennant was masterful and his co-stars superb.
I recommend it whole-heartedly!
I loved this episode. It gave us a glimpse into Dream’s life outside his realm.
Aks is not “an extremely bad American version” of ask, it has been around for over 1000 years, was used by Chaucer and early English translations of the Bible - and has been wonderfully preserved in certain dialects. However, where you might be right is about its use in Africa today, of that I am not sure, it seems to be most common in the US, UK and Australia. Don’t really know it from Ireland
My father was a university English professor and would never have let me get away with using that word no matter the argument in its defense.
Personally, it doesn’t roll off the tongue smoothly.
no audio on any of the links i tried; mixdrop, abcvideo, clipwatching, videobin. i jumped ahead in each one to see if it kicked in later; nope. i have audio in other tabs, so not a hardware issue. can anyone point me in the direction of a link with audio?
I reported a few of them. When there is a problem with a link report it by clicking on the Report Link button above so it can be fixed, please.
Thank you.
Not going to happen he is retiring. Said he was stopping after 10 movies.
“The Movie Critic” is the name of the script that Tarantino wrote and is prepping to direct this fall. It will be his tenth and final film. Apparently “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill: Vol. 2” are considered one movie, bringing his current total to 9.
The Brits and their stiff upper lips and cold dispositions…..must have broken many a child’s life.
It is a beautiful film, though.
Hilarious? Serious? Sad? All three. But mostly hilarious. Also, a fkd up commentary on society.
Rob Reiner is a genius.
I watched episode 2 and it seems like its not the same season as the police officer who died in episode 1 is now alive
The police officer that died in episode 1 is now alive in episode 2?
In the new season 3?
This darkly comic murder mystery series was a lot of fun to watch and judging by the final scenes we just might be hearing more from the HC.
Not bad for a bunch of old men.
Lars Ulrich is still the heartbeat that keeps them alive.
What a gripping series, right up to the amazing finale! It took nine years for them to complete three seasons, but what great seasons they were. You really got to know these characters (even though sometimes those very thick accents forced a little playback at times!) and felt their struggles. I liked Lancashire’s tough, no-nonsense cop, whose instincts were spot-on about so many cases and perps. She’s such a fine actress that this show was created specifically for her by the writer, according to an article I’ve read. I’ll miss the show, but I cannot complain one bit about the explosive finale, in which everybody let it all hang out - all the pain, resentment, fury, fear, and regret they felt. I think fans will feel a LOT of satisfaction with this conclusion. I know I do. 10/10!
This was an excellent episode. I only wish he had mentioned the support Lukashenko is getting from his bestie, Putin.
Excellent film. Wonderful story. Michael Pena has become a really good actor.
This is the end for me. Rose Leslie’s character is annoying. I liked the movie much more.
That was perfect, Spock. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.
The Enterprise, the ship itself, is a superhero.
I remember the wonky looking lizards from the “Arena” episode.
I wonder why they chose not to reveal the Gorn this time around?
It seems the apple fell far, far from the tree.
I remember a comment that more than inferred that Sam would never be Captain America. You can’t always be right. Fantastic finale.
Why are most of the men portrayed as disrespectful and abusive scumbags?
Answers wouldn’t require a deep dive into the script. It’s obvious.
They think their depressing, go-nowhere lives entitle them.
You know their mothers didn’t raise them that way.
What kind of man would allow the mother of his baby to be beaten up by his girlfriend?
It’s a very violent community.
Trying to figure out Guy Pearce’s role in this. Solely a love interest?
Such a fascinating person. Her beauty was one of the least remarkable things about her.
from what I did watch, it’s about how we exploit animals and how we have no respect for them and how cruel we can be to them. A very hard truth :’(
I already knew all that and I definitely don’t what to see it.
I can’t even bring myself to watch animal rescue shows.
btw, Joaquin Phoenix is a big advocate against animal cruelty.
