Parfyonov’s documentary for the 70th anniversary of Lyudmila Gurchenko, a great actress and singer. This film is a story of the Russian film industry through the eyes of a movie star. Footage and music - 70 years of the mutual history through the life of a unique person. Gurchenko, looking familiar and unfamiliar, will tell about the first movie she ever saw, the future movie star’s first idols - Marika Rekk, Janet McDonald, and Vivien Leigh. Memories in a movie theater and in a city park, thoughts on the vaudeville culture, and watching, together with Parfenov, excerpts from the feature films and documentary chronicles shot in “those times”. |
