i didnt realize it was Chris Hemsworth until he spoke rofl,
Anya Taylor-Joy dont really know her, but i liked her role/acting,
supercool that she didnt have a license but learned to do a J-turn on her first day of stunt school.
no clue that Elsa Pataky is married to Chris, didnt even notice her in the movie,
do feel the 2.28hrs was way too long

lol Chris was brilliant as (a psycho/stand-up comedian) Dr Dementus. (Doctor George? hehe)
I said I was reading an article about the Book of Eli. I didn’t think I’d have to say the movie Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga was mentioned in the article about the Book of Eli. So, what part of “this movie was mentioned” don’t you get?
“…it just felt appropriate to wear armor.”
I think you’re making her point! lol
(no pun intended)
Who doesn’t want this Robot? I’ll take it over JLo. She did a good job. I like this move. seen it 3 times.
Maybe Austin Butler?
What about one of Mel’s sons > there are seven to choose from? Milo, Christian…et cetera. I know Milo is an actor already, is 33 too old to be a 20 something Rockatansky?
😎🤪I agree about the ‘hollyweird’ ~ Australian Premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga😊

Thanks for that glimpse. This will be so painful as Jessica Lange is one of my all-time favorites. And I won’t be able to separate the performance from the actor, that’s how powerful her performance will be in this. I think this will be her greatest!
watch it
Well, I watched the first 2 epis, as per.
As I’ve said, I like McClure but I’m not too big on straight-on dramas. I mean…yeah, childhood trauma, but is that all there is? Color me surprised (NOT!) if it’s a non-diagnosed hereditary mental condition. Not to minimize the severity of any mental illness, but not necessarily my cuppa tea. Nonetheless, thanks for the recommendation, Noel.
This now Moana 2 and there’s a new trailer and a teaser poster released for the film.
The 3rd season has titles, but we have to wait a bit longer for the episodes to drop. Have not found a release date yet.
A 3rd season is now being filmed. No release date, but could be this fall maybe?
I had to watch the ending three times because it was very confusing. Is it a dream within a dream? How does he just wake up to the house already at a 3 alarm status? How are there 3+ propane tanks leaking that catch fire outside while the fire is inside? What started the fire?
I think it was the nurse seeking revenge and that was the 1st thing that popped into my head. Of course, the writers want us to think this, so we shall have to wait and see.
Theo James has been added to the cast. I like WWII movies/tv dramas and filming will start in July.
I like the originality of this series. I thank whoever put this on my recommended list! It’s a welcome break from my usual ghosty and scary type viewing. It feels good to laugh and there is the right amount of goofiness here. I will give it a hearty thumbs up for those who like sit-coms.
In a dystopian future, Atlas presents a gripping tale where an A.I. soldier concludes that the only path to peace is the extinction of humanity. Directed by Brad Peyton, the film boasts a stellar cast, with Jennifer Lopez delivering a standout performance, supported by Logan Hunt, Briella Guiza, and Mark Strong.
The movie excels with its engaging action sequences and impressive visual effects, immersing viewers in its dark and futuristic world. The storyline, though somewhat predictable, is compelling enough to keep you hooked from start to finish. While there is room for improvement in the narrative depth, Atlas surpasses expectations for a Netflix release, proving to be an entertaining sci-fi adventure.
Lopez’s portrayal of her character adds emotional weight to the film, making it more than just a typical action flick. The supporting cast, including Lana Parrilla and Sterling K. Brown, also contribute to the movie’s appeal with solid performances.
Overall, Atlas is a commendable addition to the sci-fi genre, offering a thought-provoking glimpse into a potential future shaped by artificial intelligence. For fans of action and adventure, it’s a worthwhile watch that stands out on the Netflix platform.

It looked like the fire started outside or in multiple places, definitely suspicious. Arson? Revenge? Propane tanks will explode if in extreme heat, re watched that section, looks like a line of fire right to them. Odd there were 3 just sitting outside the window, with no grill or reason for them being there in sight.
I regard this as the worse war for soldiers. If you were critically injured there was no medical intervention, no blood plasma, no penicillin. The suffering is unimaginable for those that fought this war
there were blood transfusions as well as today.
even in WW2 most nations didnt have enough antiseptics etc for the frontline
(only the USA were stuffed with that kind of medical supplies)
USA(not America) entered the WW1 only for one reason:
to guarantee, that the countries, which had borrowed before from it, remained able to pay back their debts!
britain and france were nearly collapsing and then there would have been not “pay back”..and both nations intended to get the money needed from Germany.
how on earth, btw, a “neutral” nation is delivering war goods only to one side and stay neutral?
This is excellent, unresolved childhood trauma, coupled with creepy and ominous
I do like Vicky McClure but is this any good? Trailer’s not doing much for me. Don’t want to go down the rabbit hole ‘cause I know me!

War is certainly suffering. WW1 also effected so many! I come from a Kiwi family who lost multiple Men at the Gallipoli Landing (They were Cannon Fodder). Half a million ANZAC’s died in WW1 from Australia and New Zealand. (Population of both countries at the time 6 million)
Jesus put this show out of it’s misery I am struglling to even pretend this last season is anything at all like, or having to do w/ the rest of the once great series…just too much to even comment on is wrong wrong wrong…

I’m a huge Adam Carola fan since I was a youngn’ and this is cringe to the fkn max, embarrassing to watch, embarrassed for him while watching IDK but it is rough, so disappointed.
Hmm, a remake without Mel as Max. Interesting and also somewhat terrifying. Who would you cast as a young Mad Max?
Nice. Ironically, he wasn’t that pleased with the final product. He questioned many of the decisions made while filming and wished he had done things differently, but the limited budget prevented him from going back and reshooting any of it. I’d love to see him do a remake of it with a budget that gave him the flexibility to make it the film he had envisioned.

In my ‘down the rabbit hole’ of all that is George Miller, I’ve found an original print of Mad Max > so chuffed aboot dat, I gotta say…

I still prefer the original Mad Max movie. It was bleaker and more realistic than anything that came after.

The worst one yet! Wow!? Just when I think remakes can’t get any worse. 1/5✨ Total gobbledigook.
Recently discovered that George Miller is a physician, holy sh*t… Trying to find one of his first films, (Violence in Cinema: Part 1 1971).
I love the entire Mad Max franchise, but as much as I love Joy, I love Theron more…
I enjoyed Furiosa very much ~ I think Hemsworth stole this one away from ATJ - completely. He not just a pretty face, anymore. Good on him… Fury Road is still in second place! Road Warrior will always be first…

Chris Hemsworth was the show stealer for sure in this film. He made it watchable. But as I said before. This isn’t really a Mad Max movie. This isn’t even close to as good as Fury Road was. Anya Taylor-Joy killed the film if you ask me.
I know everyone is praising Anya Taylor-Joy, but I am confused on why. I know people love her from The Menu which is what everyone keeps bringing up when talking about her … well honestly The Menu was an amazing movie for sure. But it was because of all of the other actors that made the movie so good. I found her to be a bit boring. She seemed so robotic, slow paced. Like she was high on shrooms the whole time kind of slow. And sadly, she wasn’t much better in this film. Least to me. If you enjoyed it, good on you. Just her acting is not my cup of tea. I think they needed to find someone closer to Charlize Theron. She looks nothing like her, acts nothing like her. Charlize is what made the character a hit in the first place.
This movie as a whole was … okay. Once again it was all the other actors that made the movie watchable for me. I know this isn’t going to be a popular opinion for a review, but it is how I feel about the movie. Please understand I am not telling you to not watch it. You might enjoy it.

I hope it will be good, I have doubts though..hopefully the story has some value, cgi alone does not a good movie make..

1 of 10 projects directed by BC Fourteen (wtf) that were released in 2023. lol
His IMDb page shows him to be highly productive in a bunch of weird areas.

Comments not sounding so great but I like the series as I started with Road Warrior as a kid. I’ll rewatch Mad Max Fury Road from 2015 since we are saying Furiosa is a prequel to Fury Road. Maybe that’ll make Furiosa better as I wait for HD quality to give it a go. Watching Fury Road again was great because I caught a lot of things I didn’t remember so maybe Furiosa will unravel some of it even more.
I normally don’t like J-Lo due to her well publicized bitchy off screen personality but I was able to put that aside and watch this movie. We’ve seen many movies involving exoskeleton type armour at this point so that’s nothing new, the interaction with the AI running that armour is as you’d expect.. Sorta Jarvisy vibes. With that being said, I did quite enjoy it and have even recommended it.
