Why did Disney not release Sound of Freedom?
But when the Disney-Fox merger went ahead and the House of Mouse took over the rights, the media giant shelved the project. What ensued was an alleged battle for the filmmakers to set Sound of Freedom, well, free.27 Dec 2023 please do your home work there was so much controversial stuff involved in this movie that lots of pedos came out the wood work spreading things like its all a conspiracy.. conspiracies are started by the culprits basically like all the brainwashing going on in the world

grasshopper rex 9 points 3 months ago*.

You would have to ask Disney execs why they chose not to make it. If Disney didn’t want it made they could have just not sold the rights to the movie back to the filmmakers. Funny how the claims that the movie would expose so many elites as pedos weren’t true. I would suggest you do some research on why Ballard, O.U.R., Caviezel, and their film are being criticized instead of spreading conspiracy theories.

dude, the movie is about WWE wrestlers. any conversation about wrestling in these comments is framed around that basic piece of information. one shouldn’t have to state with every comment that this is what they are specifically referring to. even in the comment that you cherry picked i said that there is a difference. you’re trying to beat a dead horse when you don’t even have a stick to do so with.

NO ONE likes an unnecessary war…save perhaps some politicians, and munitions suppliers. Certainly not those going to die, or their parents.I did not say that Hanks LIKES war. I said that he seems to be fascinated with it. 45% of Liberals believe in God. That means the majority do not. I did not say ALL Liberals. I just said Liberals. Pew agrees. Do Liberals HERE believe in God?

grasshopper rex 9 points 3 years ago.

That depends upon what you think is a necessary war. Conservatives seem to think that any war that protects or furthers the interests of US corporations is justified.
Yeah, cherrypicking data I see. That would be 45% that are absolutely certain there is a god. 24% are fairly certain etc. According to the research you cited there are only 19% that do not believe in god. That is far from a majority. Facts matter.

A great watch. You hear so much about freedoms, personal rights, and body autonomy, but almost nothing about a person’s right to take their own life in a painless, serene, and effective method. I’d go even further than those who advocate for legalized voluntary euthanasia for those with terminal ailments and say that every person should have that right for any reason. Granted, if you’re suicidal there should be a cool-down period and a psychiatric consultation required first. Someone who is truly suicidal deserves better options than putting a gun barrel in their mouth or any of the other myriad means of doing so that only add more suffering for someone weary of their painful existence.

Piglet 4 points 8 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

You failed to mention the uprising at Wounded Knee in 1973. Of course there was one big difference, no lives were lost. But many other uprising from Native Americans did result in lives lost!
EDIT: I’m not attacking you either, just making an observation.

grasshopper rex 5 points 8 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I was speaking specifically about student protests that had resulted in the murder of students. The long history of injustices and atrocities against native American Indians is another topic that deserves its own conversation.

Actually, there were 2 deaths during that incident. It should be noted that there was a great deal of public support for the Wounded Knee occupiers. The late 60’s and early 70’s were a time of increasing American Native activism and saw a more sympathetic public view towards the plight of Native Americans. Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee had been published in 1970. It was received with most favorable reviews and stayed on the national bestsellers list for a year. The Black Congressional Caucus supported their cause as did several famous actors and public figures. It was during the occupation that Marlon Brandon had asked Sacheen Littlefeather to speak on his behalf at the Acedemy Awards and cited his objections to what was happening at Wounded Knee as one of the reasons he was declining the award.

I suspect that an exchange of comments we had on another show might have been misconstrued as me being misinformed and unsympathetic to the history of humiliations and atrocities suffered by Native Americans at the hands of settlers and the Federal government and I want to assure you that this isn’t the case. My mom was a hippie and was very interested in Native American history and spirituality. She had a voracious appetite for the written word, as do I, and we had many volumes on our bookshelves pertaining to these subjects. I read many of them and absorbed even more knowledge listening to her and her friends talking about them. If I am mistaken about there being some misunderstanding between us just ignore all of that and write it off as me being overly sensitive. :)

I can’t disagree with you there, but my point was that we would not as a species become animalistic and “everyone for themselves” in that situation, as every apocalyptic film seems to say we would. Most of the world doesn’t have these same issues. The majority of the world is doing well that way even now, and most countries do not have the problems you list. My point still stands.

File this tidbit under the category of “I spend way too much time surfing the internet”. Roy’s line “If you’re so smart, then why are you so dead?” is almost identical to a 25 yo line from a Simpsons episode in which Homer quips “If he’s so smart, how come he’s dead?”. There was also an episode of the show Psych titled “If You’re So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead?.” How ironic is that someone cocky enough to utter a line like that is rarely as smart as they think they are.

We had to watch this episode twice, and make sure you have subs, because the dialogue is very important. Although we’d still LOVE more Titans, we’re now read-up on how this [limited] series is intended as a gap filler in the Monster-verse of Kaiju. The acting is really captivating and the story is above average. We love it… especially the end of this episode!

It’s still a bit slow for me, but yeah, it was never really about the Kaiju. This is the story of Monarch and how deeply they are tied into the Monster-verse. It works for what it is, but I’m more than ready for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

I’m liking this. Episode 1 introduces an unusual character, fleshes her out a bit, and gives us some intriguing basics outlining her special skills. Yes, Charlie is a bit over the top in some ways, but she’s fun, and quite perceptive and plainspoken. Prior to reading much info, I assumed this was going to be a show with standalone episodes, in the vein of “Mysteries of Laura” from a few years ago, but I was wrong; this will be a saga that unfolds from the starting premise (and the initial crime) which apparently will play a big part in all her future adventures. I know little to nothing about this actress, but she seems very assured in this role so I’m looking forward to more.

The thing that struck me is how many of these people claimed to have voted Democrat in the past and/or to have voted for Obama. It’s good at doing what it is intended to do, pandering to the elderly Christian crowd that believes the Q claims on the subject. It’s also good as a promotional tool for raising funds for Ballard’s organisation which raked in over $45 million in 2020, the last year that records have been released for. There is an excellent review in Rolling Stone that sums up well my thoughts on this movie.

I’m in a hospital bed with 4 cracked neck vertebrae and 2 bone brakes in the left leg after a frontal crash last Monday. So no smoking here just a broken nose. In a lot of cases I would agree, but if you could have seen some of these posts, these people were going out of their way just to find fault with this, and in the most childish ways you can think of that just deserved to be called out. And I normally just stay quiet on things as it’s just not worth saying anything.

Clearly making stuff up in some cases up, just flat out hating, was just flat out painful to see…and for the record, I really liked ‘Old Guard’, would like to see another movie made based on that, picking up where they left off.

grasshopper rex 8 points 1 year ago*.

Yeah, I’ve seen the whining about how unbelievable it is that a little girl could take out a predator. Their alpha male delusions that they too could take on a predator like Arnold did are threatened by the notion that a diminutive female might be able to do the same. How fragile the male ego can be.

Men Up (2024)

As sweet as this story is portrayed, as a woman, I was left infuriated by how fast the pharmaceutical industry moved to resolve an issue that affected men…. and women are still fighting to be included as ‘significant’ in any drug trials!

grasshopper rex 8 points 3 months ago*.

Sildenafil citrate was created by Pfizer in 1989 with the hope that it would be useful in treating high blood pressure and angina. Clinical trials in the early 1990s revealed that it provided little hope in that area, but male participants reported some unanticipated side effects. Additional trials and studies led to it eventually being approved by the FDA as a treatment for erectile dysfunction in 1998. It was an accidental discovery, not a case of them setting out to resolve a problem and coming up with a solution.

Would have loved to see a sequel to this. I even once saw an interview with Keanu where he said he was pushing to get one made only to get denied by Warner Bros.

In an interview back in November, Francis Lawrence said he is focused on developing Constantine 2 now that the strikes are over. How this will fit in with the DCU reboot coming is anyone’s guess at this point.. Chapter 1 of the reboot (Gods and Monsters) kicks off July 25, 2025 with Superman Legacy, and we should know more about what is coming and when by then. I’d love to see Constantine 2 released like early 2026, not too long into the reboot so that Constantine can be established early and then be used in some of the other projects to follow after that.

If you aren’t familiar with the term “predictive programming”, which has been used a couple of times in the comments here, it is a conspiracy theory claiming that the government, the illuminati, or the elites are using mass media as a method of mind control, sending out hidden messages to brainwash viewers and make us more accepting of planned events in the future. They also think that it is used to mislead the public in advance of “false flag events”.

In other news, there has been a sharp increase in the sale of aluminum foil.

A garbage IMDb rating on a movie that hasn’t been released yet. 24 user reviews and not a single critic review. If you read the reviews they all look as if written from a script.
