I really hated the opening of this show when I first saw it. It was as if I was looking into a alternate dimension where nothing made sense and my brain could not comprehend what my eye where seeing. But 8 eps later and I freaking love the into. This show was something else. It was inclusive without being preachy or in your face sjw.

I know…overwhelmingly good—but where’d mum get her powers? wtf if they could engineer those powers—it’s hard to credit them not getting out of the original kerfuffle somewhat more gracefully….and why didn’t old man pops have The Power? They did explain early on that pops is a standard service model and mum was designed specifically as a war machine. So there is that. But good point about the technology considering there where a lot of necromancers flying around in that earlier episode where mum got captured. She seem much more powerful then before. Also I wonder why the named her a Necromancer instead of a Banshee? Banshee seems to be more fitting given her powers.

That’s part of the point: he’ll go unnoticed, just like the actors who played the role, after Sir. S. Connery, and before P Brosnan (not particularly fond of him, either; but he was better than the afore NOT mentioned; and, of course, Daniel Craig! See, it’s like the Superman franchise (for me):
Christopher Reeve (Sean Connery), Henry Cavil (Daniel Craig. The rest? Superman TV show actors; {you know they exist, but… meh!}.
It’s just my opinion, however; which may, or may not be, as irrelevant as the rest.
They already set up and stated the next 007 will be a woman. Craig was pretty funny in his statement when asked what he thought about the next 007 being a woman on BBC. I wish I could find his exact quote. Was something to the effect of women should have iconic roles like James Bond instead of gender flipping James Bond. Then he said he was going to star in the next wonderwoman movies and when asked what his role was he said WTF you think I am playing wonderwoman! I really liked this movie and was bummed about the end.

I liked Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rush. But when I was a preteen I was into Kiss mostly. Then later as a tween I got into metal and stayed with that. My family worked as event coordinators for a little radio station in southern Cal call 95.5 KLOS. I used to get free tickets to any concert I wanted to see. Of all I would say the first Us festival, Iron Maiden and Pink Floyd where by far the best productions. Pink Floyds laser shows where epic.

@tardisrider I would even put Kiss in that category. Though I did like Kiss and it was the first band I ever saw live at the San Francisco cow palace during the filming of Kiss Alive 2. However other then kiss I was firmly in the AC/DC, Slayer, Megadeath, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Metallica, Iron Maiden camp.

You can get the books in unabridged audio format. So if you are in a job or position where you can listen to them. I just bought them on audible today because i do not have the books anymore and I wanted to listen to the books instead of reading them this time.

I understand from reading posts from people that read the books that go to this that there is a lot more to this story then what happens after the end of this season. Seems they are hoping that someone else picks this up, not sure who it is that has the current contract for the show right now, but it might be that we get lucky and someone else picks it up and can salvage it….

I would love to see this happen. One thing to keep in mind is that the books are generational. They pretty much follow Holden and crew until they die some of old age, some not. The story continues with children of main characters and then their children.

It’s Professional edition and you have to go into the registry and change things. The options are still there under “customize sounds” but they killed the feature after Windows 8. Why they left the vestige behind is anyone’s guess. There’s tutorials out there—I’d post a link but we’re not allowed.

Darn, I was hoping there was another way that I have not tried already. I also have pro edition win 10 x64. Did the regedit tutorial trick and that didn’t work also the Gpedit trick and that didn’t work for me either. For the statup sound I had to use a separate program that replaces the windows startup sound in the .dll library. But it only works for start up not shutdown. Oh well thank you anyways.

I use Hal 9000 and start-up sound and still can not get a shutdown sound to play other then the stock one for windows 10. What version of windows are you using and how did you change the shutdown sound. I want to have porky pig tha tha that all folks.

I should have been more clear, I agree with you on all your points. What I failed to convey is that their stories IMO are lacking and tired and do not hold up against the original “What if” comics books in depth or story telling so far.
