The Man Who Saved the World (2015)
finigan1 2 points 5 years ago.

This is the best documentary I have ever seen, there should be statues of him all over the world! But like the title says, “Few people know what he did for us” This should be taught in schools. I do take it much more seriously then most though, just because I have a personal connection too it, it all happened the day after my tenth birthday. I remember exactly where I was, and what I was doing the day the world almost ended!

8STORY8 1 points 5 years ago.

Thank you for your Comment finigan1. It’s what drew me to check this out last night. I really barely still have words to describe the impact felt, as I am still processing it and deeply. It’s so sobering. I’m very glad I watched it, and that he made that choice. And, I concur it is perhaps the best documentary I have seen, as well. I don’t generally even watch documentaries, but have seen some remarkable ones over the years. This was so well done. I loved the drama-renacted-documentary style and that he played himself. But that being all said, I’m really still at a loss for words at how sobering of an incident this all is, and how it is still a threat yet today.

Fangaliel 4 points 5 years ago.

Epic story with a young very good actor as main character.
It’s a Sci-fi fairy tale, and the story goes deep into the imagination of the creator. I like went people develop their thoughts till the end :)

8STORY8 1 points 5 years ago.

Thank you @Fangaliel for commenting and therefore bringing this movie to my attention. Sounds interesting as is your comment. I put it into my “Watch” list and will check it out sometime soon.

Steve Buscemi is the greatest thing this world has ever produced! Really excited for this to start.

haha saw your comment and had to see what Buscemi might be up to. Super fan myself. This sounds ridiculously awesome.

Miracle Workers (2019)

Sorry to hear that. With Buscemi, I figured a slam dunk.

If that’s not appealing, what about The Good Place?

I did watch quite a few episodes of that and enjoyed it; much more clever writing and right off the start. However, too many good things to watch (I’m not complaining) so I may never get back to it. But, I always appreciate a recommendation, so thanks RoboPhone :)

The Wolfpack (2015)
8STORY8 1 points 4 years ago.

Fascinating, interesting, thought-provoking which I watched last night, and I’m still processing it. It engaged me, and I wasn’t bored for a moment. It’s a documentary of a unique family, in short, where seven children were not allowed to leave their family’s lower-east side New York upper floor apartment for most of their childhood, and the ramifications that it presents for it’s coming of age sons who broke free and are re-discovering their world, and themselves.

8STORY8 1 points 5 years ago*.

Okay, I can do my best to explain it step by step, and when you get to the end you’ll see how I already requested the link for you this time. But still go through the process, so that you will no longer be a nube with regards to requesting links and will be able to do it for any show or movie in the future any time you want and help others know how , too.

Step 1: Go to the show or movie that you want to watch but has no links. (like this one right now)
Step 2: Put your cursor in the pages url / web address field and copy the web address of the page. (If you don’t know how to do that, let me know and I’ll explain.
Step 3: Click on “Forum” which is located on the top of every Primewire page.
Step 4: Click on “Front Desk.” (It’ll be the top thread of the Forum).
Step 5: Click on “Do you want to watch something but has no links? Request Links here.” (That takes you to page 1 of that thread.)
Step 6: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and paste the link you’ve copied into the field or box.
Step 7: Click “Reply” to submit.
Step 8: Wait patiently, may take a few hours or days for the uploaders to provide the link, particularly if it’s not a popular show or movie, or currently airing show. If it’s not uploaded in a week, I’d submit a request again.

ALSO I’m always courteous when I request, saying please and thanks every time I request a link.

Other things to note: If you want to see your post in the thread, scroll again down to the bottom of first page of that thread and you’ll see the pages numbers above the “Reply” Box. Click on the number of the last page (note the page number it is if you want to go back in the future and it’s no longer the last page).

And probably firstly, make sure it’s a movie that has already been released or a show that’s already aired.

excellent! Guess what? I started watching it partly because of your comment brought my attention to it and partly because I’m interested in plural marriage / relationships (long time watcher of Sister Wives and Enjoyed You Me Her, too.) So thanks, I’m enjoying it.

Memory Lane (2014)
8STORY8 1 points 4 years ago.

Another potentially decent film, despite a low IMDB score and highly mixed reviews. I often find films with both very high and low scores to be an interesting watch. For instance, one called it “a surreal masterpiece that envelops and tantalizes every aspect of the viewer’s palate” and another “a dreadful incoherent mess.” Whatever it is, it was done on one of the lowest budgets ever,$300.00!

Years of Living Dangerously (2014)
8STORY8 1 points 3 years ago*.

I just watched an episode that was airing on Free Speech TV, which was S02E01 and I’ll never be the same again. It’s on climate change. I wasn’t heretofore a denier by any stretch, but I was not even close to as concerned, and motivated to do as much as I can to be a part of the solution, since watching hence the “please watch” to pass the knowledge forward, to warn, to promote education, as I am now.

I came here directly, after watching to see if the documentary was here. Its placeholder is here, but no links. I have requested them minutes ago. Thank you linkers. UPDATE: As of presently, there are 9 full episodes, which is the entirety of Season 1 available on the Years of Living Dangerously You Tube Channel.

True Detective (2014)
8STORY8 1 points 5 years ago*.

Boy season 2 is complicated! So complicated, that I’m losing interest. However, I read an excellent blog that explains the plot up till the second to the last episode. It explains everything and even with pictures of the characters to help you keep track who’s who. Nevertheless, it’s still super complicated. Well heck the blog title is “What Exactly Is Going On in True Detective Season 2? An Excruciatingly Clear Plot Breakdown.” by Willa Paskin. Finding the blog and reading the title alone, let alone the excruciatingly long explanation, relieved me in that my confusion of what the hell is going on and why should I care, has some validity. I really loved season 1. I’ve heard season 3 is also great. Season 2 just isn’t doing it for me.

True Detective (2014)
8STORY8 1 points 5 years ago.

Initially, the title and cover photo and genre put me off, not my thang, I thought, but the IMDB rating and reviews got my attnl, as well as, who stars / produces incl. Woody Harrelson and matthew mcconaughey and that it’s an HBO series (I didn’t know). It’s one of the highest rated tv shows on IMDB and I wanted to know why…3 ep. in and I’m getting the depth and complexity. Not fast paced action, but brilliant character study and more…nuff said gotta get back into it!

Though I found all the episodes this time around to be good and enjoyable to watch I feel this season is lacking in comparison to other seasons. They can do better. Hopefully Season 6 will impress me more, but guess we have to wait another year for that.

8STORY8 1 points 4 years ago.

I feel similarly “good and enjoyable to watch,” very well done and thought provoking, imo, but definitely not as shocking as some of the previous season’s episodes were; and I found I kind of enjoyed that, like a nice breather this season. My favorite was ep.2 of the 3, but did enjoy them all. One of my favorite aspects of this show though is that many of the “cautionary tales” are about not far future tech but very relevant to now and next in probability. The farther future episodes were pretty awesome though, but I like how relatable the near ones are.
