This looks interesting - first two episodes dropped

Funny, bawdy & irreverent. All-in-all a great watch, hoping for a second series.
This is my favorite genre, no doubt. If I had to choose between Vera, Endeavour, Lewis, Shetland,George Gently, Foyle’s War, Sherlock.. It would be Vera, every time!
Woo Hoo episode 4 is here! Whew, I thought I would blow a gasket waiting, thanks PW.
I’m really enjoying this series and just wish the episodes were longer than 50 minutes. I watched Martin Shaw in Inspector George Gently before watching him in The Professionals. Now I’m doing the same thing here, watched Midsomer Murders before watching Bergerac. I think both men look far better in their 70’s than in their 30’s! Their acting is spot on no matter what age they were/are!
I’m enjoying this, too. It’s fun to see John Nettles and Annette Badland in earlier roles. Not to mention the Guest Stars, who are actors of some renown now.
Has anyone watched the 3 movies that preceded this TV series; Bad Debts, Black Tide & Dead Point?
I’m watching the 1st one, Bad Debts, right now. I should’ve watched the movies before I binged season 1 and 2 but no worries, it’s like a prequel now. So far, so good… I am sad Jack Irish is wrapping up though.
This latest installment was fantastic! I’ll definitely do a rewatch before series 4 drops… not a moment too soon!
This is Great! So glad I stumbled on it, funny & quirky w/a second series to come in 2020.
Series 2, another good twist & turn ride. I hope we get a season 3, 4 & 5…

Comment from YouTube Ep. 1
“This is actually 2/2. Go to 1/2 which is the beginning. Incorrect numbering. Good movie👍🏼”
I thought the 1st episode started a little wonkey.
Holy Guacamole what a crazy ride! Great cast, the story drew me right in. Shocking surprise end to the 1st episode. Whew!
Excellent episode! Wish I had waited, so I could binge them all in a row…
it says dont request future releases though and i dont know if this a future release. its a bit confusing when they have posters up for future releases and episodes of the shows that arent available yet. do you know how to tell the difference?
That’s a good question & thankfully RoboPhone has an answer. I’m intrigued by the description of this movie, too. Hope we don’t have to wait too long.
I was super apprehensive about Batwoman. I thought because it was on the CW, it would be full of cheese & angst but (so far) it’s dark, gritty-ish & well-acted. I’m thoroughly enjoying this show.
does anyone know if there is a way to get links for this movie or is it not out yet?
IMDb says March 2020 for the US

Novelist Jean-Christophe Grangé created the character Detective Pierre Niémans, who was portrayed by the incomparable French Actor, Jean Reno in the two movies:
The Crimson Rivers (2000)
followed by
Crimson Rivers 2: Angels of the Apocalypse (2004).
.
Wanting to present more cases for Detective Niémans to solve, Grangé wanted Reno to reprise his role, but the producers flatly refused, stating he was too old. As such, Olivier Marchal was cast instead.
.
The developed series currently consists of Two Seasons, with 8 2-Part Cases. This version centers on Pierre Niémans and his deputy Camille Delaunay (Erika Sainte) who work for a specialist unit that investigates the most bizarre crimes.
.
Overall I’d certainly recommend this to fans of crime dramas involving unusual cases.
.
Spoken Language is French with HC (hard-coded) English Subtitles.
I’m loving S.2 so far, I do hope Camille get’s her family stuff sorted if there’s a 3rd series. Please let there be a 3rd series and more!
I was just thinking how much I enjoyed Demian Bichir’s performance in “The Bridge”. I hope this series is a good one!
I don’t know what’s changed @ Father Brown but there’s something missing. I picked a random episode, from season 4, to see if my perception had changed. It hadn’t. We’ve lost a few talented actors over the recent years & the additions I’ve had difficulty warming up to, but that’s not “it”. It’s the writing, that feels hurried, amateurish even. I hope they’re able to re-capture the style & structure of past seasons, post haste!
Thanks PW & Linkers for the international banquet of movies & series found here!

For example, Season 3 of Mr. Mercedes started Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
Not sure what to think of this show yet. I was not bad but for my liking, the storyline was a bit too easy. Being used to many potential culprits, this compared was single-minded. I expected more back and forth among the characters, as the Brits usually do. But it reminded me of so many series, first in mind “Father Brown”, “Grantchester”, and many more. I will keep watching, for it’s something to do if bored.
I’m on episode 2 and I made those comparisons too, after ep 1. Now it reminds me more of the Murdoch Mysteries, with her forensic knowledge and education. It’s a fun watch, either way.
I just started this and so far, so good! It reminds me a bit of Balthazar, which I hope there will be more of.
For me Finnish crime series were always heavily lacking compared to Swedish, Norwegian or Icelandic so when I discovered this Finnish cold war spy drama series Shadow Lines I did not have high hopes. However seeing that it was attached to Sundance Now (and their stellar record with foreign spy dramas like the Modern French spy drama series “The Bureau” or Le Bureau Des Legendes) I decided to jump in. Once you understand the “whose who” of the key players (USA/Soviet Union/Finland) it takes about two episodes for the storyline to start cooking. Overall, the characters themselves are interesting, in particular Helena and her backstory. The acting is hit and miss however but overall the Finnish actors trying for an American accent do a pretty good job. It’s no Homeland but it is a pretty well written spy series about the heyday of the Cold War and of a country trying to regain it’s political independence from two Superpower taskmasters. 4/5
Just finished series 2, wow! I cannot recommend this enough for espionage, thriller lovers… like me. TX is right, even after you figure out who is who. it’s still a shell game. Keeps you on your toes, that’s for sure.
This new irreverent comedy made me laugh and groan in the same sentence. I think with some tinkering it could be great. Give it a look. 7/10
i think ill start this show with you as well cheers
You don’t need to talk about what I watch for me to bump you up. : )
Thanks for lettin’ me off the hook. lol. Funny cuz I just rewatched The Bridge,(US version) & this series pales in comparison. I’ll watch 1 or 2 more episodes to give it a fair shake but I’m not optimistic… Smooches Mc!
I thought she was the least funny character in the first episode, but it was still a good laugh. I gave it 8/10.
I’m so used to seeing her as “Vera” this was a bit of a shock. I really wish they’d leave the canned laughter out. I’m enjoying this inspite of any misgivings.
One of my favorite movies!
