This documentary broke my heart all over again, finding out new things about Michael. Like most people at the time, this man simply fascinated me. Yeah, he was sexy as hell and knew it, but it was his charisma and unique voice that enthralled me. INXS was one of my favorite band, back then. And there can’t be another group like it, they were special. I cried when I find out that he killed himself. And it not my thing, but his death hit me hard. Especially knowing that he left a beautiful little girl behind. I was even angry at his ultimate action. Afte watching this doc, I understand why he was broken, in many ways. From his dysfunctional family, to feeling lonely even among many, I got it now. He was in pain. But the biggest discovery for me, was his brain damage and its effects on his life. I didn’t know anything about it, like most people. One can understand how it played on his depression and loneliness. My heart aches even more for his lost. But what made me angrier, is when he was distressed, the day of this death. Calling his so-called friends, crying for help. And none bothered to get back to him. And the only person that went to see him, left as soon as she came to see him. My friend is calling me distressed, I would’ve broken the door to his hotel room, and NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE. But she went back home, after hearing him like she never did before. She could’ve saved his live, most likely. sigh. An instructive documentary, but heartbreaking to me. Good watch anyway.

The beginning of this anthology was looking promising. Midway mark, the stories started to get nonsensical to me. And I lost interest and never got it back. The host needed more charisma , a personality that needed to carry us from story to story. Then again, the stories could’ve been better, to me. OK, if one really has nothing to do. There is worse out there.
sigh. I wish that directors and writers today, would understand that audience want to connect to at least one or two characters, to carry their interest throughout the movie. Nope, they still don’t get it. Right off, I wanted the mother to die. And that’s early in the movie. Not good. Then it took HALF THE MOVIE for anything to begin to move. Long dragged out scenes, of awkward monosyllable exchange between the mother and daughter. The daughter is not half as bad as her mom, but is not angel herself. Hard to care if anything happen to them or not. Something else that made it hard for me to get into this. The unbelievable idea of a tween, being more adult than the adults. The mom is as dumb a cliche as they come. The kills were predictable, too easy. And that’s sad, because the atmosphere, the creepiness was there. I went in hoping it would be good, but it did nothing for me. The potential was there though. Not enough background story (how the f**k did that creature get there). And nowhere did we see cops on the scene of an accident. Right. At least, there were no CGI for the monster. Thankful for that.
For the longest of times, I resisted watching this movie. Then I gave it a shot. And I wish that I’d not given in to curiosity. Confinement and all. Boring as heck for me. What a waste of a cool cast. It did nothing for me.
Interesting episode, but it felt unfinished to me. But I will keep on watching this series.
This case still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Personally, I feel like that woman should be in jail. FIVE innocent lives were snuffed out, for no reason at all. She knew what she was doing was wrong. But on the other hand, others should’ve intervened more forcefully. Her last doctor, definitely made the ultimate mistake. And also het husband should’ve realized that she was in over her head. ESPECIALLY after she was hospitalized. He was warned not to have more kids, for she was fragile emotionally. Clearly, he didn’t care about that warning. All those factor contributed to this tragedy. good watch.
Kids. Annoying, not-listening kids. Not good. The snotty little geeky one, arghh. I wanted him to get it first. This movie was all over the place, The dollhouse, the zombie shtick, the fly-thing (?), the awful-looking demons. Which is it? All, which gave us nothing. My attention drifted to playing “Bejeweled”, for Pete’s sake. There’s nothing to get excited here. On to the next one. sigh
Why does all the male in these Amityville movie series, all are chauvinistic pigs? And the women spineless doormats? It’s getting dull and boring. And this movie did nothing different. The FF aspect pretty much killed any chance this movie probably had. It came across as fake and forced, recited and unnatural. And the characters were cliche. And of course, they had to add the annoying kids especially the one behind the camera. sigh. And the father was again, a complete insensitive a**le, like in the other installments. Asking stupid questions all through the movie, so was the wife. If they’re going to keep on making movies in this series, they need to come up with more creativity, when it comes to the characters AND the story. This felt more like an installment of “Paranormal activity” than an “Amityville” movie. And a VERY BAD one too. The kid playing Tyler and the rest of the cast, should never act again. The whole thing was dreadful. Full of cliches and highly predictable. Moving on now.
For Pete’s sake, if you’re going to make a movie and call yourself a “professional”, you ought to actually KNOW what your job consist of. The audio was horrendous. No matter how much I increased the volume, I could barely hear the dialogue. The audio guy should go back to school and REALLY listen this time. I can’t believe they didn’t catch that when reviewing the whole thing. Amateur. That’s pretty much how this movie comes across. Don’t waste your time.
My gosh! Seeing Henry Cavill at 20 years-old, made my day. Even at that tender age, the man looked gorgeous. And Nathaniel Parker is very dashing and smart. Loved this episode.
Man, this story is worthy of a limited series. With drugs, adultery and murder, what else does one need? I’d watch it.
A classic by my FAVORITE actor of ALL TIME, Cary Grant. And directed by one of my favorite director of all time too. Can’t go wrong with such beginnings. It keeps you wondering what is true or not. Definitely worth the watch.
I wasn’t sure about this version of Sherlock. Because I’ve been disappointed with most of them. But this so far, was not so bad. I’ll watch episode 2 to make my mind up.
This case was mind-boggling to me. I’ve read and seen about many angels of death, but this creature has to be the most murderous I’ve heard of. If one cannot trust your doctor anymore, who can you trust? This is the most egregious of betrayals. He got what he deserve, but his last action was cowardly. Good watch.
I am so glad this series is back. I absolutely love it. The chemistry between the 2 main characters is perfection. Now, why can’t American tv write good stuff like this? I’m definitely a huge fan.
Yeah, everybody thinks they’re a director and connoisseur in movies, because they watch them. This is an abomination. I made it to 15mins. Too much. Save yourself the pain.
That was an intense episode. I would’ve been nice for the cop killer to get the right comeuppance, in jail. Would’ve loved to hear about his life behind bars. But he knew what was going to happened to him, I’m pretty sure of that much. Hell on earth every day of the rest of his life. Good watch.
Knowing the mentality of the time back then, I am frustrated and angry at the behavior of the police, when the investigation was happening. It felt like the sheriff was more interested in protecting football, instead of people. Which they are supposed to protect and serve. I was also angry at the jury, for failing to put this guy where he belongs, FOR LIFE. At any rate, he proved to be the sociopath that I know he was. In and out of jail, is what one expects from a creature like him. Good episode, despite the frustration.
This is an interesting way of telling about an investigation. You usually hear from the point of view of the police, or from the coroner, or from the forensic units. But from the actual phone calls made from prison, it is quite different. Looking forward to seeing more from this show.
Why bother slap the name of Amityville to this turkey? To sucker us in and by curiosity, I did. No, bad idea. Slow, boring, cliche. And of course in these days and age, another freaking movie with men displaying rapist behavior. I’m sooo tired of director and writers, using a female character who is mentally affected or on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It’s been done to the bone. And it’s insulting. These guys should spent less time developing rapists and more time developing an ACTUAL story that makes sense. Goes to show what they really think about. Ugh. The acting is horrendous, the plot is nonsensical, it’s plainly boring. I didn’t bother to make it to the end, for my brain was tainted enough. Pass your turn. Don’t bother.
What’s with the double screen? See, right there is an indication of what kind of crap I started to deal with, watching this. Did the director suffer from double vision? or did he really think that it was artsy? FAIL on every level. Don’t bother.
This pair delivered their lines so fast and furious, it was perfection. I stopped counting the number of times that I’ve seen this movie. Definitely recommended.
I had to look long and hard to find this series on the net, and I realized that it was not easy to do. If you must know, I saw it on another site. A sister site of Putlocker. Now, I don’t know if they will allow me to give you the link, though. Maybe I can send you a message and do so? You tell me. Good day!
I tried to watch this documentary to the end, but couldn’t. I didn’t like the delivery of the storytelling. it was boring, which should not happen when watching a story about such sad and horrific real events. A miss for me.
Non-existent and boring plot, bland and annoying characters. Especially Dawna Wightman, constantly whining and crying, I could not stand her on screen. The acting was beyond bad, from all. This was a blatant and opportunistic cash-on-the-name Amityville, wannabe movie. A total waste of my time. Pass on this crap.
I was reading about the nurses, and apparently, they’re all free nowadays. Seriously! They should spend the rest of their lives in jail. Outrageous!
Somebody please, remind me not to walk into an open field, on a creepy day. Good watch.
A good episode, but some loose end should’ve been more explored. This second part felt a bit rushed. And DCI Banks should be more in control of his emotions. I assume that he’s been at his job for a while, and he should know better. And once again, we are shown how bureaucratic and insensitive the ladders of justice can be in England. The upper echelons seem to only care about their image more than they care about victims. It is discouraging and makes one lose faith in justice. But it happens in every country in the world. These people are supposed to “protect and serve”. But it seems to me, that all they care about, is their careers and their image to the press and the people. Sad but true.
I love Gabriel Byrne, so I figured I’d give this series a try. Now, I’m not so much into political series, but this first episode is intriguing. I don’t know if I’ll stick with it. I sure hope that it’s a good series though. Will keep watching for now.
I have nothing good to say about this movie. It simply sucked. The script was formulaic and once again, not scary. The acting though, was very bad. The only good thing for me, was seeing Patty Duke at a younger age. That is about it. Cannot recommend this movie.
Loved this movie, and its many twists and turns. I was mostly fascinated with Lana Turner’s facial expressions. There’s a scene where she’s putting lipstick on, and cuts him down with one look. There was no word needed. And John Garfield was spot on in his role. Worth every minute watching it
This movie got right to my heart and soul. It left a profound impression on me. I felt like I was into the movie, right there with Adrian. Adrian Brody. What an amazing performance, rightfully deserving of his Oscar. He made me cry, especially in the scene where he plays his imaginary piano in the ruins. That scene got me. A wonderful gem of a movie to remember our past with. We cannot forget that past. And a movie like this one, beautifully done, is a good reminder. DEFINITELY worth a watch. 5/5 stars.
This was semi-interesting. Nothing special here that we haven’t seen before.
A low-budget, amateurish, badly-acted, mess of a movie. There is no plot, really. The whole was so bad at acting. There was no tension, no chemistry. just bland performances, void of emotions. The characters , especially the blonde girlfriend, was as dumb as they come. I couldn’t wait for her to her to die already. In all, I would stay away from this crap if I was you, people.
Followed this case, but I lost track of it, because of the oh so many trials. I’m still no sure about this one.
This was a powerful episode. that man is a guardian angel. A voice for the silenced. His father would be very proud of him. This world needs more of this gentleman. Definitely worth watching.
That was just plain boring. Clearly, the director and writer had NO CLUE where to go with this movie. Felt like they suffered from multiple personalities, for there were no cohesion in the “storyline”. AGAIN with the FF story, we’ve got a bunch of idiots, making stupid decisions, with stupid reasoning. Being so idiotic, they should be picked one by one. Obviously, the director didn’t care much about his result, content with giving us a cheaper ripoff of “The Blair witch project”.sigh Don’t waste your time, pass.
You don’t see good people like these men too often, nowadays. It kinda gives you hope about humanity, if only for a little while. Good watch.
These murders did not have to happen. They were completely pointless. I truly feel sorry for the father.
This girl should’ve know better than to go with a total stranger, in a foreign country. I don’t care if he’s a celebrity or not. Especially, if he/she IS a celebrity. Money and fame tends to let them get away with a lot, that you and I wouldn’t. And that’s a fact. Good watch.
There’s some filler in this episode, that was unnecessary to the storytelling. Can’t wait to see the end of this case, to see who is the culprit.
My heart goes out to those girls. You can tell they loved their father. And that he was close to them. What a tragic lost for this family.
I don’t think the wife got enough time in jail, as far as I’m concerned. There’s an injustice there. Another case where divorce would’ve been a better idea. Good watch.
I just love this series. This woman is so deceitfully smart. And that’s the way I like a character. Good watch. As usual with this show.
What a nice family these people were. They deserve to be where they are. Another good series to keep up with.
This could’ve been so much better, had it not been for an improbable storyline. First, the husband-cop behaved very erratically, and frankly, stupidly. What bothered me though, was how desperate and spineless he was to his wife, who clearly wanted to leave. Let her go, man! There’s plenty of fishes in this vast ocean. And when things starts to be figure out, when he finds out a big revelation about his wife, the guy is STILL latching on like a desperate puppy. I know of NO MAN that would’ve stuck around once she was find out. AND, the man throughout the movie, was incapable to keep his composure. Wouldn’t play poker with this guy. And the ending was unsatisfying to me. In all, this was disappointing to me.
I don’t know what happened. I genuinely got into the episode, and everything was fine. “Good start for a new show.”, I told myself. Considering that most show nowadays, barely interest me. But at the 20 mins mark, my bubble got busted. The minute the stupid devil opened his mouth, the whole thing fell apart for me. Really? Comedy, in that very scene? That is supposed to be creepy? My bubble deflated. And it happened AGAIN at the 27mins mark. And something else that killed it for me, the breaking of the 4th wall. Unnecessary and distracting. It’s like the creators didn’t know which way to go, with a messy result. Is it supernatural or is it comedy? Very few in the world of cinema, know how to blend the 2 seamlessly. Not the case here. And that bothered me, for I was enjoying the beginning of the episode. sigh. I’ll watch the next episode, see if there’s a change in my first impression. I’m so annoyed…how unfortunate.
