You’d think the queens would learn to avoid doing social media influencers from watching previous seasons of snatch game. They rarely work out. Gottmik’s Paris Hilton was one of those rarities.

alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago.

They should know by now, but they just keep trying. Agreed about Gottmik, but she was so great on her season. I still get shivers thinking of her “Hellraiser” look.

The Boulet Brothers' Dragula (2016) S4 E6
augusts1 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The thing w/Jade though is that sure she did her best look so far on this epi but the other’s looks were just so far superior that even at her best she couldn’t come close.

I’m really disappointed in Saint. She won the Resurrection competition they did last year but is so full of doubt now. Her presentations are lackluster although she’s had a few good looks. I was really rooting for her. I hope she can pull herself up which she did this epi but I think it may not be enough.

IMO Dahli is the clear front runner. He has been consistent w/amazing looks each week & has a great attitude/outlook on it all. La Zavaleta & Hoso aren’t too far behind although Hoso had a stumble last week w/that squid monster look which put her in the bottom. But Dahli’s looks have been so strong it’s obvious he will be on top.

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

Well said! I agree that Dahli is looking to be this season’s winner. But you never know. Any one of them could manage to pull something amazing! Here’s hoping that Saint gets out of that funk she’s in. She did so well in “Resurrection”.

American Horror Stories (2021) S1 E7
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Mostly this episode, but also overall…
Beginning and ending the season at Murder House is an interesting choice.

“Tastes like blood”…he says, like it’s a bad thing (unless you’re talking blood orange). I seriously thought that was Cody Fern (from “Apocalypse and “1984”). Ryan Murphy sure has a type….

“Maybe I can find a ghost that’ll last more than two pumps!” LMFAO.

Ruby was so sexy quoting “Hotel California”!

Nice seeing Jamie Brewer again. Dylan McDermott( several seasons of AHS), less so. Although when he said “You like being hungry more than you like being fed”….

Some characters are clearly low-budget knockoffs (Twisty, I’m looking at you). Even though I know it’s not her, the lead actress remids me of Leslie Grossman (several seasons of AHS). And they have “from the back” shots of the witches of “Coven”/“Apocalypse”.

The kid is a bit of a jerk. And bringing it back around to him and his mom was kind of lame.

Didn’t Ryan Murphy suggest the cast of AHS would be back for this series? Where are Taissa, Evan, Sarah, Lily Denis, Kathy, Angela, Emma, Adina, Fin, Frances, Wes? At least Matt Bomer, John Carroll Lynch (though NOT as Twisty, Naomi Grossman, Billie Lourde. And everyone loves Adrienne Barbeau and Danny Trejo.

Violent Night (2022)
alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Fun watch! I’ve seen it described as horror-comedy, action, thriller. It’s all of those and more. It’s got conniving manipulative rich people, “Home Alone” style traps, action, gore, a lot of comedy, and Beverly D’Angelo. And someone gets beaten with baby Jesus! It has some plot holes, but still worth checking out.

Ra’Jah clearly threw it so she wouldn’t have to make the decision. Personally, I think Trinity was the weakest. Can’t wait to see what Ru has in store for Eureka.

Velma (2023) S1 E3

The funniest line was “Boobs touch, no crotch”. Not a terrible episode.

RuPaul's Drag Race (2009) S15 E10

Sasha and Loosey were incredible. I wasn’t surprised at the bottom two. And Salina EsTitties had every move down, so of course she stayed. Great episode.

That '90s Show (2023) S1 E10
alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago.

The series started out kind of bland, but it grows on you. Not earth shaking or ground breaking, but not bad. The cast has chemistry.

The Simpsons (1989) S33 E3
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

Every year, I look forward to the Treehouse of Horror. While this wasn’t the worst, it was definitely near the bottom. Hopefully they pick up the slack next year.

Call Me Kat (2021) S3 E16
alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago.

This is definitely one of those “gets better as it goes along” episodes.

Great show! Too bad there were only two seasons.

American Horror Story (2011) S10 E3
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

Great episode. Denis O’Hare was only in it for a moment, and somehow STILL managed to steal the show!

Missionary (2013)
YgraineDance 3 points 2 years ago.

Okay, okay, I just have to state (sing?) the obvious:

“Don’t mess with a missionary man….”

Annie Lennox warned us. She did.😉

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

“Black-eyed looks from those Bible books. . . “ <3

Ratched (2020) S1 E6
RuPaul's Drag Race (2009) S15 E3
alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Sasha Colby as God and Loosey LaDuca as Dolly Parton were the best parts. “Team Leftovers” skit. . . the golf clap from the judges said it all. I wasn’t surprised Amethyst was in the bottom again, or that Princess Poppy was as well. I figured Poppy would win the lip sync with her comedic take on the song, but Ru preferred Amethyst’s more “Diana” take of course.

I watch this one every year on Thanksgiving. Fun watch. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Funny episode.

Bob's Burgers (2011) S12 E16

Another anthology episode. I liked the “They Live” inspired story the most, though none were particularly spectacular. The REAL story of the tree was sweet, though.

Call Me Kat (2021) S3 E5
CaptKSKS 2 points 1 year ago.

My Mum called me with the news, I described him as a ball of sunshine. A real tragedy.

The production has gone into hiatus while they figure out how to move forward.

alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago.

CaptKSKS, what a great description of him. Even in his “darker” role in AHS, he still was so upbeat. Hopefully they’ll write in his passing, instead of trying to replace him, like some shows do.

Great start to the new season. I got quite a few laughs. But Jeanette seemed a bit stalker in this one.

American Horror Stories (2021) S2 E7
augusts1 2 points 1 year ago.

Talk about twisted! That was so good but so sick. What an emotional rollercoaster.

alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago.

Right, augusts1? This is exactly what season 2 of “American Horror Stories” is about! The first season was more misses than hits, but this time. . .

Squidbillies (2005) S13 E6

The Boulet Brothers' Dragula: Titans (2022) S1 E6
alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Not surprised at the double save. I can’t wait to see what the future consequences are, though. I knew Melissa would take that challenge, didn’t she smash it in her season? Literally! KoKo’s obsession with treachery is an interesting plot point as well.

The Rig (2023) S1 E1
alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Nothing really original here, but the way it’s put together shows promise. Fog and tremors unsettle everyone, being cut off from all communication and signs that something’s not right even beyond their rig, an accident all combine to unsettle an already embittered crew. Curious to see where this goes.

All of Us Are Dead (2022) S1 E1
augusts1 3 points 2 years ago*.

I enjoyed it because it’s from a different culture than the US which gave it a fresh feel for an old subgenre of teen zombie movies but nothing new that I saw.

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

Exactly. It’s got an entirely different feel to it, even though zombie movies and shows have been a bit overdone.

Daya Betty tore that lipsync UP! Even Jorgeous couldn’t beat the intensity of her angst.

Shining Vale (2022) S1 E8
irdulili 2 points 2 years ago.

I don’t know what they’d do for a season 2 but I’d watch it to find out.

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Perhaps the focus will shift to Gaynor. Valerie did warn her about something in the house being drawn to the women who live there. Or maybe we’ll get a glimpse into Pat’s life in the institution. Either way, it could be fun. :)

Mom (2013) S8 E1
alexisbits 2 points 3 years ago.

On the one hand, “Mom” is back. On the other hand, “Mom” is gone. Christy (Anna Faris) was the main character from the start. The show probably won’t survive much longer without her.

Legendary (2020) S3 E1
augusts1 2 points 2 years ago.

Yes Megan’s energy is fun & undeniable. She has that Bronx or Jersey vibe even though she’s from Houston originally. Keke has a softer approach but still quite personable.

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

That’s it exactly.

Addams Family Reunion (1998)
augusts1 1 points 2 years ago.

No I’ve not seen that & w/your ‘glowing’ recommendation I shall summarily refrain LOL.

LMAO, thanks.

The Boulet Brothers' Dragula (2016) S4 E10
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Sigourney took Glamour, of course, though Dahli’s 90s Annie Lennox look was amazing. Hoso definitely stole Horror, Sigourney reminded me of Professor Membrane (in a good way). Saint’s Divine-inspired Filth was amazing, but Dahli’s auto-erotic death was quite impressive too. Congrats to the winner!

On a side note, how is it that Swan always looks prettier even though she and Drac are wearing the exact same thing?

Mom (2013) S8 E1

No way this show continues past this season without Anna Faris. Too bad

Agreed, sadly.

Addams Family Reunion (1998)
augusts1 1 points 2 years ago.

No I didn’t. See my review below. Can’t win them all I guess lol.

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago.

I guess I enjoyed it because I didn’t count it as an official sequel to the other movies. Like with “Halloween With The New Addams Family”, I saw it as more of a stand alone.

Rick and Morty (2013) S6 E9

Shining Vale (2022) S1 E7
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Very fun episode. I think I love it when Rosemary is in control of Patricia! She’s like a bitchy June Cleaver with a penchant for young men. I can relate. I think the story that lagged the most was that of their son and his skull.

Legendary (2020) S3 E1
augusts1 3 points 2 years ago.

YVW! Yea the live audience makes a huge difference in the energy of the show.

Megan’s popularity grew a lot since she filmed season 2. I like Kiki’s energy though.

alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Absolutely. It just wasn’t the same without a live audience (though it was understandable). Even with the masks, the cheers of support were amazing.

That’s true. I still miss her being in the show. But having seen all three episodes, KeKe (apparently that’s how it’s spelled, I wasn’t familiar) is a good replacement. Still, I will miss Megan’s in your face attitude and revealing outfits. lol.

Legendary (2020) S3 E4
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Whorror House. I love it! Leiomy Krueger. Jameela as Elvira. Iconic horror movies through the decades. I was surprised Law would use the Gag Flag, he’s always the hardest one to impress. The House of Juicy Couture was AMAZING. Well-deserved 10s across the board AND the win. Meanwhile, the Makaveli’s butchered Hellraiser. I was definitely surprised to see they survived the final battle, but they sure made an enemy of Law.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World (2022) S1 E3
alexisbits 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The bottoms and tops weren’t surprising in the least. The lipsync was close until about halfway through, when Pangina dominated. And I think everyone was rooting for Jimbo to go home. Still, a fun episode (in spite of Baga’s tantrums).

We're Here (2020) S2 E2

This episode was so beautiful. James letting people he just met borrow some of the pins he collects was so sweet!

The Last of Us (2023)
grasshopper rex 7 points 1 year ago.

Episode 3 changed my mind. I’ll be watching the rest of it.

alexisbits 2 points 1 year ago.

“There’s nothing new under the sun.” It’s true that this show combines elements of works that have gone before it, but it’s combined in a fun way. And, as you mentioned, episode 3 was amazing. So heartfelt.

In regard to the comparison with TWD, early on, TWD was a good show. But it went on and on and on. And got to be less about the zombies and more like a Soap. Hopefully this won’t go that route (as I’m not familiar with the games, and they do tend to veer away from source material at times anyway, I couldn’t say where this will go).
