Yes its unrealistic, but this is how japanese people film swordfights, its based on how they fight in traditional japanese theater. Its also evident in the way JRPG computer games work, guys leap in, attack, and go back to thier starting spots with no tactical movement. total bullshit you might say, ofc and thats quite true :) but thats how they do samurai swordfights its traditional.
Another factor here is this film compresses many events in the life of musashi into this single long impossible fight .. the whole thing is a bit of theater and hero worship, but is it really any more impossible than Rambo? any more absurd than wild west gunfighters who stand in the street til the stroke of noon and quickdraw?

its like its good…but the aspect of non real keeps realizing on me that cops would have had him and shot him to death way before this movie became a typical non real movie. who doesnt call the cops when someone bumps their car, who doesnt call the cops when someone follows them and rams cars in the street trying to block them or follow them to a gas station and chase them knowing the license plate… its just another attempt to make a movie thats a thriller thats really a NON reality movie… people call the cops when someone cuts them off in a lane anywhere in the usa much less all this with no one time 911 call… i mean comeon now wake up. and the commercials talking about its the number 1 thriller in the world for years is just lmao your an idiot status….. it can be good if your in a fantasy im an idiot world not taking shit seriously but this is 2020…. atleast have the dumb idiot bitch call the cops and he gets pulled over and kills the cops or tricks them one by one or whatever then keeps chasing her until the end i mean god damn…. dumb fucks filmers who live in a island paradise that dont know the real world rich pieces of shits who wrote this
