Halloween Kills (2021)
DemandingFemale 7 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I don’t think I watched the same movie as the other reviewers because I thought it was shite, lol.
The acting was abysmal, the character tie-ins from the original were weak, and some of the practical effects were straight out of the 70s handbook.
They really should let sleeping psychotic serial killers lie.

The Equalizer (2021)

People are just negative because they’re mad a Denzel movie which was kinda average for a Denzel movie replaced the lead with a women. Queen Latifah is a badass in the role even if some of the fighting etc is a bit unbelievable it’s a TV show get over it. The show was quite fun and even almost beat out NCIS in the seasons ratings which hasn’t been done by any show in a very very long time.

Not really sure what’s up, tell the truth. What I saw was in English, seemed to start off at a kids birthday party. Not sure if that’s how the one you saw started or not. Thought it was strange that a French originating show was in English unless it was dubbed, which does happen sometimes, esp. with some Japanese stuff, like Anime, for example, or the occasional martial arts movie, so I check from time to time just to see.

This was English, so I put it on the back burner, then everything just vanished?

footshot 3 points 3 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

6 points but lots of offence taken instead of humour , so i apologise to those who pm’ed jack
i mean it all in jest , the brit/france thing might not translate well to outher countries AND we love em to bits really

I agree, I enjoyed it too. I would have preferred they just call it all season one and consolidate it, but it was good.
I can’t wait to see the next “big bad”. I almost want to read the books, but I’m just not able to sit and focus on teen-targeted fiction novels.

Have you considered downloading the Firefox browser? I think it is less “Let me take your data” than other browsers, and it allows you to use uBlock (which I have found to be much better than Adblock). (I also prefer the duckduckgo search engine to Google.)

ooh The Belgariad quintet of books was FANTASTIC! Don’t forget the subsequent Malloreon quintet as well which is a direct continuation of the events in Belgariad..There is also the Elenium Trilogy which follows the Malloreon but I have never had the opportunity to read it but i’m sure it is just as amazing It was actually the first High Fantasy series I ever read (that wasn’t Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance lol). I had actually forgotten all about those series of books! David Eddings is an AMAZING writer! Think I might have to go out and re-buy the entire series for my collection!Did you say there is a WoT Video Game they came out with? Why have I never heard of this? lol..geez I only recently learned that they came out with one season of a show based on the Sword of Truth books a bunch of years ago lol..as soon as I learned this I went and gave a couple episodes a watch and I just couldn’t do it. The acting was terrible and the only similarity to the books was the names of the characters and places lol..I wasn’t going to ruin the enjoyment I experienced after just finishing the SoT series by watching any more lol. Anyways, Thanks for reminding me of one of my fave series of books which I haven’t read in over 25 yrs! Very much looking forward to revisiting those books! Cheers kerfy!

Not a dry Eye In the House

20 minutes in I started crying. Because that’s 20 minutes I could have watched paint dry watched the neighbourhood cats walk by count city buses you know anything else that could even be slightly more of a better time than watching this drivel. I admit I didn’t get past the 1st 20 minutes but really did I want to ? NO. 20minutes and the show hadn’t grabbed me in any way. Like c’mon the opening scene a women speeding and hitting the statue ? 1st of all is she blind, texting or on her phone? How could she not see something that size. Also if anyone else noticed where was she speeding to? It was a 3 way intersection and directly ahead of her was an (albeit paved) lane way. Somebody should be fired over that faux pa. I was expecting a lot more from this cast but I guess there’s no getting over bad writing, directing or location scouts or editors that are inept. Will avoid this show and go back to anything else. Hey the 1st coat of paint is almost dry.

In china you cannot change political party

more than america, and any other major economy yu can find
There is absollutely No way a group of billionaire will ever effect chinese policy
China is a market economy but
Capital Will never rise above political authority
in the U.S Capital and the protection of its rights has risen above the native population [even to the extreme of having more rights than its citizens]
politiacal authority cannot check the power of capital
still dont wanna live there

Midori (1992)
booger 1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This movie is grotesque. And what is truly grotesque is that after a little bit of research you find out that this story (and/or variations thereof) was/is? quite popular in Japanese street theater.
Imagine Robin Hood or punch and judy but instead of robbery and domestic violence it’s all the about other forms of human depravity like rape, physical and physiological abuse, hebephilia, pedophilia and other uncommon sexual fetishes and all of it played out on a street corner for anyone to see.
I can only think that the reason this became so popular was because the conditions were so horrid that people would watch this and say to themselves, it could be worse.

footshot 2 points 3 years ago.

thats the best reccomendation to not watch anything i have ever heard, thanks
