Isn’t it, though? I may actually create a playlist for movies that I feel are like wonderful little treasures that turn out to be not at all what you think they’ll be.

I am dealing with an awful toothache so I am rather stuck in bed and I am watching this gem of a film. I am really enjoying it in spite of this nagging pain lol.
This show reminds me of watching a great train wreck! You can’t turn away lol. but Michelle Dockery gives quite another outstanding performance like she did as Lady Mary in the Downton Abbey series. Two vastly different characters of course but so well acted!
Great song. I also REALLY loved the one they played at the end of Twister, “Respect the Wind” - just…beyond gorgeous the way his guitar sobs and screams. RIP dear Eddie. Fabulous musician.
Absolutely! Respect the Wind is one of my all time favorites of his! After I saw the movie Twister, I went to find out what that song was etc etc! I also love Women in Love! The intro is pure EVH!
Okay, this was a good episode but I have an issue though. How did Rosalind know Bailey would actually go into that room? I guess the writers thought we viewers wouldn’t question this at all!
She guessed? I know that it’s hard to recognize a firefighter when they are wearing their helmets but Bailey took hers off just before she fell and I guess Roselind knew then it was for certain Bailey because she was watching the entire scene on video?. JMO
OMG. Best final episode ever! Congrats to Rylie and thanks for your wise words. I love you Steven.
It was really good! Do these amazing souls get paid for 60 days? I am a newbie~
https://www.primewire.li/movie/215664-watch-willow Here is a direct link to Willow Julianna ;) If you love fantasy ie. Lord of the Rings and older films like Legend with a young Tom cruise and Tim Curry as The Devil (one of the BEST costume effects i have EVER seen even to this day!) then you will love Willow…the CGI is a bit outdated (still using some Stop-motion i think with some early CGI) but it doesn’t detract whatsoever from the great story. It has remained one of my childhood faves to this day..i hope you enjoy it as much as i have over the years..
Ok! I am watching Willow tonight and will let you know. Thank you for all the wonderful info~ Appreciate!
only ‘one of the few’? (chuckling)I feel that way for most of them. Seriously though, do you have any recommendations for Lifetimish thrillers/mysteries/suspense where ya don’t want to slap them all?
When Husbands Cheat (1998) is a very good movie and it is based upon a true story! You would like this one Pip!
The intersection of Verhoeven and Eszterhas must also be the location of a failed nuclear power plant. The two films in this precise location are Showgirls and Basic Instinct. All of the characters are uncontrollably emotional, comically sexual, occasionally homicidal, and absolutely hilarious.
When Sharon Stone is actually wearing clothes in this movie she only wears white and beige. So, at a distance, she’s nude all the time. Michael Douglas spends about 90% of his time on screen in some kind of spitting rage. And all of the dialogue is ludicrous. The phrase “f*ck of the century” is used, without irony, three times.
But am I going to watch it again? Yeah, probably.
Well to be honest, I couldn’t get through Showgirls, it was so horrid and the acting was atrocious. I enjoyed Basic, the story was fairly clever and the scenes were rather shocking as intended for that time period. The one thing that is spot on is the music. Just my opinion. This is the flick that made Sharon Stone a household name so to speak. And yes I would watch it again. Every few years or so lol.
You mentioned Paul Verhoeven along with Eszterhas, but we can’t leave out Carolco/Mario Kassar of Rambo fame lol
I was so hoping that this ep. would go the other way, and Stanton would prove to be a good guy, but alas, he was a bad one.
For some reason, folks seem to forget that cops are just normal people, with normal people problems.
Despite the medias portrayal of L.E.O. deaths being mostly in the line of duty, a major cause of L.E.O. deaths is still, and will remain to be, suicide.
Report the bad ones to help get them off the street and just as importantly, Support the good ones, they deserve your appreciation.
I agree 100%. Very very sad state of affairs for our LEOs. I have a few friends in law enforcement and it is extremely scary out there for them. I pray for them. I respect them immensely and am glad they are there for us. Makes me angry there are those that abuse our trust and all of that power.
This case always feels like there is an elephant in the room that just cannot be grasped or comprehended -it is just entirely devoid of understanding and the worse thing is knowing it was all premeditated.
I would highly recommend the Chris Watts:Confession Untold episode of Criminal Confessions (S03E01) elsewhere on this site as it concentrates on the criminal justice side of the case and the incredible and harrowing experience of the investigators - watching both shows gives a rounded view of the case.
I absolutely agree on all points made here. Well said. I wrote about that very episode as you can see on the page for that show. I was so disturbed by it all and continue to be so throughout all this time. Such a irreprehensible monster and psychopath.
RIP Eddie you will be missed by so many
I am still reeling from this tragic loss! I literally grew up on his incredible music.
this the most “I just don’t get it” murder I’ve ever heard of. Hopefully watching this is will bring to light from his mouth why and how this atrocity came to fruition
Still no answers other than he is a narcissistic monster. No remorse whatsoever.
Precious family! They are so loving and kind to one another, it is most endearing! Well done
WOW now we are talking! Great episode! Talk about a major cliffhanger!!!!!!!!!!!! so happy my Chicago Firefighters are back!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, I just couldn’t get into this one. Didn’t watch but the first 12 minutes and that was more than enough. JMO
Yay I love this show! And I used to live in Galveston so it means even more to me!
Heartbreaking. These thugs were evil. Glad they were caught!
I used to watch this all the time! I loved Bill Kurtis and that amazing voice! I like Dennis Haysbert but I miss Bill. Other than that, this is a very well done series.
I thought this episode was very well done! I can’t wait to see next weeks!
You know it, my sistah!
Indeed! We have a lot in common! Very cool……grin. I miss our Uhtred son of Uhtred……….
1964 and people are all about appearances and morals from the bible, so how does all this correctness carry racism and sexual repression and rejection of free expression, that’s what the dirty dancing storey is.
So is this remake as good as the original, well interestingly they expanded it and hit on more topics about the time.
Abigail Breslin is really good in this, you can tell the whole cast gave their best, personally i’ve never liked Dirty Dancing as a movie but had to see why this remake only got a 3.1 on IMDB and i think i know why but i still enjoyed it.
Wow I never even knew this existed! How did I miss it? Thanks a lot for this review as I will add to my watch list! Appreciate it Snake~
This is now called Restoring Galveston and it returns this month! In August 2021! I am sure hoping there will be links!!
Great episode! So pleased her daughter and sister will get the justice they have waited 14 years for! Well done Kelly, Steve and the SC Police dept.
You hit the nail on the head. This series seems to me like a salacious, lowbrow version of a period piece. And Cynthia Nixon’s character made me very angry.
I absolutely agree with you 100%! I almost turned it off several times but I just had to see if my fave characters finally got some justice. I kept saying to myself, this is bloody awful. Cynthia’s character was horrid and evil. We are on the same page snazzy d.
i did not see that one coming twice -the writing and acting is so on point and am loving the scenery change shots
I knew she would find it right before she did. I have no idea HOW I came up with that, but I did! Just an intuitive guesser I suppose. This show is very well written and you really don’t know where it is going from one minute to the next so it doesn’t get monotonous or boring, keeps us watching!
Beautifully made! Story well told and I truly wish another film had been done as a sequel to this masterpiece. I can keep hoping! Added to my all time favorites up there with Braveheart and Outlaw King!
WOW! I got the chance to see the pilot on actual TV and all I can say is this should be an awesome show! I like Ryan Phillippe(sp)in these type of shows, the rest of the cast seems pretty good, a few I know their faces and what they’ve been in but cant recall names. But as with all TV shows this year, time will tell if it makes it, Covid and lockdown was already brought up smh, but at least no mask wearing at this point, but the lil bit of action that was in this 1 hour epi was decent for TV, and I actually liked the writing, which lately has been hard to find. Crime, mystery, scandal, heartbreak, roadtrip and subterfuge all make for a good story IMO lol! Enjoy!
The Real Braveheart, they should do a feature film and tell the real story.
Gonna miss that smile. I enjoyed watching this walk down memory lane - Van Halen was one of the greatest groups in rock-n-roll and Eddie is one of the most admired guitarists. A guitar genius!
I know Debra personally and this is a true nightmare of epic proportions. She has come through it strong and very resilient! Very proud of her!
It has really terrible acting and the writers force the actors to repeat the same lines over and over again. But the stories are fun, wild and compelling and sucked me in even though I generally hate soap operas and low-brow entertainment.
IOW, it’s a guilty pleasure and a lot of fun. Give it a try.
Thank you Vigile. Appreciate the info. I detest soap operas myself so this will be a maybe if I run out of other things to watch lol
This is such an outstanding show.
Based upon you saying this show is outstanding, I am going to watch it! Thanks! Need something like that to watch no doubt about it.
yeah, it’s a real shame they killed it in its infancy.
I know, right! I was FURIOUS and I wanted to REVOLT lol! Such a shame!!
Oh I loved this film! Billy Crystal has still got IT! And Tiffany was very charming. A heartfelt and warm movie. Makes you laugh and cry. 5/5
Wow I saw this at the theater when I was a little girl! I had forgotten about it. Thanks for posting RP!
Well here is another I wasn’t aware even existed until I stumbled across it! This was fun and took my mind off of problems in the world for a while. Yes, I sung along too. Jane is a cute host! Pretty decent entertainment in my opinion and I will keep watching!
What an incredibly difficult thing for a sister to go through! She made the RIGHT decision in spite of losing some of her family and friends over it. Good versus evil
