MR-9: Do or Die (2024)
Lazeistheman2 1 points 2 days ago.

Typical Redbox filler movie. Cheezy enough to slightly enjoy and pass the time.

greyfur 1 points 2 days ago.

Read some of the comments in the IMDb, and seems there are a crapload of books about this agent MR-9, like 500 or more of them, kind of like Mac Bolan back in the day, the way they cranked them out, and a lot of people liked them, but it would seem that they had the funding and the actors to do it right, but just didn’t cut it. I was in it for MJW, always made good movies with great fight’s in them, but this time he just got used for his face and name I think in the movie, and had a small part in it. I stayed with it for as long as I could, but like you said, ‘to slightly enjoy…’.

Why so sad? We’ve been over this already. The man is not dead yo

I never said a word about him being dead…It was about the movie sucking…

MR-9: Do or Die (2024)
greyfur 1 points 2 days ago.

Sad to see MJW in this movie. Tried to watch this, and actually made it most of the way through, but it became to painful to watch it all the way, and he really had too small a part to really call it one of ‘his’ movies anyway.

Yeah we’s in it deep, if the media has it right LOL. Keep a close eye on that crockpot, my dude; it’s prolly up to thus and sundry nefarious things! Making the house smell all tasty and lulling you into a false sense of security…!
After my cup of sweet lemony tea, I remembered THE absolute worst one of all - Weyland-Yutani. We ded, y’all, we so ded! We so ded my Ebonics came out!

Hey, can’t be any worse then my old toaster being a Transformer. Burnt one out of four slices every time, should have known..🤦😂

Very fun show LOL But the future is NOT lookin’ good, y’all! We have Cyberdyne, SkyNet, Vought Industries, ConSec, LutherCorp, Banodyne - and now Vault-Tec on the horizon. And those are just some off the top of my head before I’ve had my tea! 😱
We all better bend over and kiss…well, y’all know the rest…

greyfur 2 points 2 days ago.

🤣 Just named my new crock pot ‘Skynet’, on account of it’s the first one I have had with digital settings. Was that or ‘Terminator’, and just liked ‘Skynet’ better. Works pretty good though. Agree with you on all the rest. BOHICA inbound…

sorry, what was the series that came out prior? i can’t find it anywhere :-/

greyfur 2 points 4 days ago*.

Right here brother, just have to look it up right, was under just ‘Spiderwick’

https://www.primewire.tf/movie/876491-the-spiderwick-chronicles

Think I was wrong about it being a series, though, was a movie. Was a decent one as I recall, worth watching, even though it was made for a younger bunch. close enough to what I remember of the books, though I don’t really remember much, it was that long ago.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two (2024)
grasshopper rex 3 points 6 days ago.

The casting on the 3rd part gives me hope that this iteration of the DCU is going out with a bang.

greyfur 2 points 6 days ago.

I really hope that they do better with this then they did with that garbage they pulled with the Arrowverse nonsense. That really sucked all the way around. This gives me hope as well.🤞

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two (2024)
grasshopper rex 3 points 6 days ago.

That’s a quick turn around. No word on when Part Three will air yet, but it should come by the end of the year and will star Katee Sackhoff (Poison Ivy), Mark Hamill (The Joker), Dean Winters (Captain Storm), and Corey Stoll (Lex Luthor).

greyfur 3 points 6 days ago.

Glad I saw your post, added it right fast to my ‘watching’ list, so it will pop up in my list when it airs. First one was pretty good, and thought it might be a good while before the second one came out, much less that there would even be a third, figured just a part two. Guess they are really going for it with this one.

The Spiderwick Chronicles (2024)
Boilup4T 3 points 6 days ago.

Like you I’ll pass, but for me i didn’t like the grace family. The mother is acting more like a sister or an aunty to the grace kids. I just didn’t like there acting, so yeah i’ll pass as well.

greyfur 3 points 6 days ago.

I never had the chance to read all of the books, think I read some of them when I was a lot younger, but don’t have a clear recollection. Did watch the series that came out prior to this, and it was not half bad, but have not had any chance to watch any of this yet. Do want to get to this, and hope they didn’t mess it up too badly. I want to like it, but like a lot of things, what you want and what you get…

greyfur 3 points 6 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Was just about to go there, as I was scrolling down the comments, to see if anyone else was going to say it. Was going to go with a Magnificent 7 knock off. Watched the first one, and liked it well enough, but watching the first part of the second one was just ‘Meh’, and quit partway through. Saw the ‘7’ knockoff, and just gave up. Effects were good enough, but if I’m going to waste lifespan at this point, I want something worth my time. This just didn’t seem to fit the bill for me.

Alex Rider (2020) S3 E8
greenguy86 1 points 19 days ago.

I think the author would want more seasons. There has already been talks about starting a new cast and reboot. The cast got noticeably older. If you remember the flashback scene. They were pretty young in the beginning.

greyfur 1 points 19 days ago.

I didn’t see anything about that, just that this was over after this season, but didn’t look too hard. What I did see what that despite that the fans really liked this last season, there seemed to be no real interest by the people that were producing this in continuing for another season.

I don’t think that the aging of the cast really had a lot to do with it, that was pretty much factored into the books, as far as I can tell, so was a part of the story, and they could just as well licked up where they left off, and betting the author has more in the series written that they could use.

I doubt that a re-boot with different people will be well received by the fans, but who knows? I never thought much about the power rangers, either, but look how well that turned out..🤦

Alex Rider (2020) S3 E8
greenguy86 1 points 19 days ago.

Really amazing what they do production wise. This last season was on another level. Enjoyed it to the max.

greyfur 1 points 19 days ago.

So did I, ending was excellent! I really liked how the story progressed from season to season, never read the books, but have a feeling the author was pleased with the outcome for a change.

Alex Rider (2020) S3 E8
greyfur 1 points 19 days ago.

Just went and checked to see if there would be another season of this, but unfortunately, it looks like this will be the ending of this. They made a good end, and did leave it open to another season if someone else decides to pick it up, but it’s not looking good at the moment. Was a good ride while it lasted though, and enjoyed it for what it was. Third season was the best one for sure.

Alex Rider (2020) S3 E3
greyfur 1 points 20 days ago.

Sanp! This is getting good! Been following the series since it got started a while back, and the whole cast has grown up a bit, and the series has gotten better as they have, and the episodes as well as the seasons have been able to become a bit more mature and more complex as well on account of that.

This season so far has been the best one so far, as the stars are pretty much ‘grown up’ and able to get pout on their own and do things they would not have been able to do before, which makes the whole thing better.

Don’t think this makes this a spoiler saying that for anyone that has not watched. You can start watching with this season if you want, but really should start with the first one, then binge. But this is the best one so far, at least in my opinion.

Crooks (2024) S1 E1

I’m not sure, think it’s the Grimes one.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (2024) S1 E6
kraichgau 1 points 26 days ago.

as i recall it,the real problem was the durability of modern fuel, which splits after some years into its components and doesnt work anymore. Then, even hidden storages of trucks etc by the military doesnt help any longer.
Sure, you could try to organise fuel industry, but given the fact, that the survivers are selected by chance, not by IQ…its rather very optimistic.

the end of the comic is way better

greyfur 1 points 26 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

True about gasoline, but if you have oil, and the know how, you can easily refine that into gas and diesel fuel. The production stuff is already in place, and there are books and stuff there for people to learn from, though you’re not wrong about the I.Q., so there’s that.

from a world, where they ran out of bullets, gasolin etc untill they were riding and back to the middle ages, now they “found” a group with helis, gas grenades and every modern weapon in their disposal…
the original ending of the comic was much better

greyfur 1 points 26 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Ya know, in truth, if enough people had survived, and that could have happened, there is no reason they could have not have built something like that back up with the right people and know how. bullets are easy. The rest are on military bases all over the place under lockdown and hid in storage all over the place if you know where to look. No one stopping you from ‘knowing’ where to look now.

Truth be told, I never read the comic, but read some stuff on it once, and from what I read, I think your probably right.

Well, liked how they ended it, could be a one off, with a good ending, but at the same time, the thumbnail says ‘to be determined’, so it’s open for another season, and I would love to see this get another one, was a pretty good show. Kinda rare for me to binge anything anymore, but binged this.

That being said, that one earl, that’s doing all the dark stuff, he’s starting to kind of remind me of a Sith Lord the way he goes about things, and the way he manipulates people. I don’t watch too much anymore, but I like to keep my eyes open in case something new comes out that I might like like this, and this has the good as far as the first episode is concerned. Going into the second in a second, whole first season is out, so you can binge it.

Alien 1 points 28 days ago.

This is season 7 not 19.

greyfur 1 points 28 days ago.

Oh, crap, my bad, 19 is the station. Still, 7 seasons is still a pretty long run for a show now either way. Still not very many can say that anymore aside from stuff like ‘reality shows’ which have little if anything of any ‘reality’ to them. Have no idea what people see in them, but seems to be a market for them. People watch.

Maybe that’s out of sheer boredom from all of the good shows getting cancelled…

Station 19 (2018) S7 E3
leatard 0 points 28 days ago.

WHY is this goin away? What is happening to tv? Shows just don’t hang on long term these days. This is an a real head grabber too.
Great episode. Strong message. Love is everywhere you look. Never be ashamed of being yourself.

greyfur 1 points 28 days ago.

What do you think is ‘long term’? This made it 19 seasons, very, and I mean VERY few shows make it even close to that these days, and there are a lot of shows that have well deserved a second or third season and got cancelled well before they deserved it. This one lasted a very long time. Same with Blue Bloods, hate seeing it go as well, but made it for a long time, lot of seasons. Beat the odds.

Twins —- The Shobijin (小美人, Shobijin?, lit. Small beauties) are two tiny priestesses or fairies created by Toho that first appeared in the 1961 film, Mothra. They accompany and speak for Mothra. We loved seeing Mothra again, though the tiny Kong was just insipid.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
greyfur 2 points 29 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Well, this was a very different but also pretty good version from what we all grew up with. One thing I did notice though is that with Mothra it used to be 3 little tiny girls that communicated with it, rather then one grown teen. Then again, they always tend to modify things. Was still well worth watching.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)
ThinMan 3 points 1 month ago.

The “young girl with the glasses” is none-other-than 18 year old Mckenna Grace. She was brilliant as a young wife (Esther Keyes) in “The Handmaid’s Tale”. She is very talented and morphs to her roles. She’s tiny… only 5’ tall. She will be able to play teens for a very long time to come. She was also featured in the predecessor to this film (Afterlife).

greyfur 4 points 1 month ago.

Ah! Thank you for that, no idea. You’re right though, she’s really good at what she does, and she really brought something to this I believe, and really helped to make it what it was, something enjoyable to watch. Thanks for the information!

So glad I didn’t read the comments here before watching because I enjoyed this movie - it was really good and recommend it for a watch - good for family night

greyfur 2 points 1 month ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Yeah, right? I actually read them, then watched anyway. I really don’t have the time to watch a movie anymore, but had the time for a change, and made a really good late dinner, and wanted to watch something while I ate, and this was there, and said why not? Comments were mixed, so I gave it a chance, and it was actually pretty decent. I really liked the young girl with the glasses, she was really underestimated by everybody, as well as very brave I thought. Kinda made the movie for me. Darn, now I think I need to ‘spoiler’ the comment. But still, your right, was a pretty decent installment for the series.
