You’re right, Jhigh. But Thanks for the explanation. We are all a friendly community here, helping each other whenever and wherever possible.

Jhigh03 -2 points 5 years ago.

since their is already a forum for questions and the changelog link is on our home page it would probably be overkill. If you’ve been here then you already know where top look without reading threw random posts. And if you are gonna ask a question then well, your just gonna ask, you know. I’ve been directing people to the changelog link when i can so people will know were to look. I hope as the site grows more members will populate the forums so we can have some pointed discussions about whatever. As it stands its a pretty desolate place.

What’s with the ‘embed’ after all the links?

Jhigh03 -2 points 5 years ago.

Robo is gonna tell u this is not the place to ask Questions. Their is a forum for that, lol. I’m only kidding with you though(and Robo cause I know he will Probably see this👌) But the embed works like a picture in picture kinda. You can open the video hosting site on the shows homepage for many reasons. Go ahead and click on your favorite host, it won’t hurt anything. The word embed does seem like it could screw up your cpu though, doesn’t it.

a tiny amount of this reminds me of “Stephen Kings The Storm of The Century” i wonder if his fathers work helped inspire his creation of this story

Jhigh03 -2 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Had too, how could he grow up with the man and it not rub off, you know. and when Vic is riding her bike threw town their is an aerial shot of the middle of town and it looked like a scene straight outa “Castle Rock”. They’re many Easter eggs in the show, I saw a map that had “Lovecraft Keyhole” on it from “Locke and Key” graphic novel. I also read that Penny Wise from it had a reference somewhere though I don’t remember where. would be dope if The whole King family created a shared universe with their media projects.

Not to start a war, but anyone reading the credits knew “Spock” was in this and if you watched the trailer you knew he was the vampire. My vote - No spoiler.

i second the no spoiler since he was the first actor i saw atributed to this months ago when i first heard about it.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
Odie 1 points 5 years ago.

Well it’s not a remake of Where the Buffalo’s roam. Its’s that they are both based on the Book “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” by Hunter S. Thompson (who plays a cameo as himself in the movie when Johnny Depp is tripping and thinks he see’s himself)

Jhigh03 -2 points 5 years ago.

Good wording, I wanted to point that out but failed to come up with a way without feeling condescending.👍🏼

Wondering if Travolta is staring in this because he owns the rights like he did for Gotti. I’m really surprised to see his name with these other high profile actors. Even Brendan Fraser is on the rebound having had a couple really strong years for the comeback.

If your a fan of Black Mirror then you owe it to urself to give this a shot. Will definitely slip under most primates radars. Not really a family drama but I don’t know what else to categorize it as. I’m really looking forward to getting to the meat of this.

L.A.'s Finest (2019)
PacificLilly 0 points 5 years ago.

I’m trying to decide if I should give this a shot? Any reviews or opinions that anyone could share— either way, good or bad??
The premise seems alright, but I’m not sure how its executed. Is it one of those more cookie cutter episodic shows, where you already know what’s going to happen and can even guess the characters’ next line of dialogue? The word I guess I’m trying not to use is quasi…. “cheesy.” 😁😂 And that’s not always a bad thing, if you know what to expect, and if the characters are likable enough. The genres that are listed for this are, “acrion, drama, crime” but since it doesn’t say mystery, I’m a little hesitant about this having anything to figure out, plot twists, etc.
For me, a 5.9 rating on TV maze, mears I should ask around before putting in the time to watch even 1 episode. Lol. But you never know, some shows can be a Trojan horse and surprise me, and then I’m thankful I gave it a chance!!! Here’s hoping for some good reviews so I can have a new show to watch and enjoy!!!
Thank you, in advance, for any replies!!! 💕

Jhigh03 0 points 5 years ago.

It is a little corny, seems to be trying to imitate Lethal Weapon. Their is an underlying mystery to try and hook viewers into coming back and i feel like it has high production values. I quit watching then came back and gave it another chance once i had nothing elese to watch, mainly because the characters were entertaining. Overall it is hard for me to recommend since I don’t know your viewing habits. But I would say to watch the first episode to see for yourself. Hope that help[s.:~)

I don’t see where either of our posts express rage at this issue unlike your post which is clearly designed to elicit an emotional response, we were simply noticing a trend. Its any content creators right to produce anything they want, with an agenda or without. Its up to us to have intelligent and respectful conversations on that topic. Get a life and troll on.

Supergirl (2015) S3 E21
Canuckian 6 points 5 years ago.

ugh, this show is so ultra left and PREACHY its disgusting..only reason i am watching it now is to catch up for the crossover event that happened a little while back on the shows i DO like (Arrow and Flash)..they really don’t even try to hide the shit they are trying to push on this show…addressing major/important events etc. going on in the world on a TV show and bringing things to light is nothing new, but bringing light to something and pushing your own agenda on it are two very different things.

Jhigh03 -1 points 5 years ago.

I haven’t watched this show in awhile but hear what your saying. I’ve been seeing this so much lately and also can see the difference when it starts reaching into the sicking territory. It’s gotten so prevalent lately that I am wondering if it has been this way for a long time and we are just beginning to realize it’s prevalence.

I swear I’m not following you, lol. Just was curious to see what spoilers were used. what is funny is i had no interest in watching this movie until I read Keisha_Ruans review 2 months ago, I saw the mention of a time machine and another universe and I was in.

Happy Death Day 2U (2019)
Rasnac 2 points 5 years ago.

This must be one of the best sequels ever. They took the funny but simple idea of the original movie and made it much smarter and complex, yet still hilarious and charming like the first movie. And the lead acterss is very charismatic, funny and talented. I’m guessing she will have a great career.

Jhigh03 1 points 5 years ago.

I agree with you on the Lead actress. I usually don’t like the whole Groundhog Day plot device since it usually comes off as lazy story telling, at least to me. Yet she did make the scenes she was in very watchable. I can see her doing quite a few romantic comedies, hopefully of the Judd Apatow variety.

The War of the Worlds (2019)
RowdyRepublican 1 points 5 years ago.

Falling skies probably being my favorite out of all of those. I don’t even think I watched the last episode even when I rewatched it last year or the first time I watched it :/. I bought the whole series on disc, actually.

The remake of V is the only one I’ve seen and I don’t think I actually finished that either but that was just because of life. I’ll have to go back and watch it one day.

Jhigh03 2 points 5 years ago.

The first season of falling Skies was epic then it completely jumped the shark with his daughter, they did manage to make most of the supporting actors interesting and it kinda had a Walking Dead vibe what with random people having to band together. V only lasted for 2 seasons I believe and it was before streaming had really taken off so if you missed it when it aired you were sol. It was canceled just as it got going. I’m sure it would have a larger audience now because of network streaming. And Colony was canceled the same way, which really sucked cause they left many mysteries unresolved. A great show while it was on the air but in hind site a total waste of time. Imagine lost with no 4th or 5th season, smdh. I feel like the BBC usually has a series planned out from start to finish ( like Orphan Black)so i have high hopes this could end up being a satisfying show all the way through.

The War of the Worlds (2019)
RowdyRepublican 1 points 5 years ago.

HG Wells? Sounds good to me. I don’t see a release date yet but hopefully soon!

Jhigh03 -1 points 5 years ago.

I might have missed this if not for you. This plot line has really been done to death in recent years with Falling Skies, V and Colony just to name a few. BBC usually does quality work so here’s hopping they bring something new to the formula.

The Twilight Zone (2019) S1 E4
nappyjonz 0 points 5 years ago.

That was so predictable. I’m trying to give this show a chance, but I don’t know……

Jhigh03 -1 points 5 years ago.

I’m with you. I felt that way about episode 3. I really want Jordan Peele to excel with this reboot as of now the only positive I can really say about is that each week we get a clean slate. But maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the excellence that is Black Mirror. If you liked Black Mirror you should try Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. https://www.primewire.li/tv/234549-watch-philip-k-dicks-electric-dreams

Dark (2017)
Odie 2 points 5 years ago.

I gave up on this series when I first started, but had to come back to it because it was way to intriguing. I am glad I did because once it all comes together Its totally worth it. Second season cant come soon enough.

Jhigh03 4 points 5 years ago*.

It definitely is a slow burn. i found it to be about 1/3 mystery, 1/3 scifi and 1/3 character study and personally the slow character driven story almost always fails to keep my interest. I think watching with subtitles really helped to pull me in (i’m not usually a fan of subs either)and i’m so glad it did. The pay-off will make your brain hurt, in a good way I wholeheartedly agree with you on the finale, Not since Lost have I been excited for the end ,then as soon as its over, frustrated by the wait until the start of the next
With that ending their are so many directions this show could go in. If you enjoyed the twist from Dark then let me suggest Predestination, https://www.primewire.li/movie/628437-watch-predestination

Sorry but the Mini van with the 426 hemi tooling through the neighborhood doing the speed limit making one right turn and getting pissed because they were still being followed was just to much for me. Bu bye now.

Jhigh03 0 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

also, i’m not an auto expert, but the passangers in the van claimed the truck was after their gas. Um, when the truck punched it it sure sounded like a diesel to me. someone correct me if im wrong please but between that and the edge of your seat car chase complete with the mini van drifting around corners like it was a F&F movie i just gave up. I really wanted to like this to, im thinking about starting a forum thread about the quality of netflix shows and movies and their push for quanity over quality. Do yourself a favor and watch dawn of the dead, twice.

A little new to the site,so might be missing something, but in all the shows I have watched since I started using this site, I have not seen one comment posted on any of them?

Jhigh03 1 points 5 years ago*.

Yg is right this is a terrific site. Light years beyond any of the many sites i used to frequent before i found everything in one place. If they are missing something you wish to see just ask in the forum, maybe even in the chat box to the right. The devs and most members are super helpful and wont go all soup Nazi on you for asking questions. Also on the right below the chat box is a list of the most resent Tv shows and movies that have been commented on with links to that content, hope that helps and enjoy, later.

Jhigh03, I have no idea who you are or what you are accusing me of, but your comment to my post comes across as mean and insulting. I take it James, who ever he is, is some sort of a threat to you otherwise you would not be sending such replies to peoples honest posts.

Shame on you!

It so happens I am not a dude, I am female, and I do not appreciate your rude and uninvited comment that has absolutely no relevance to me or my review of this film. So I would appreciate it if you would delete what you wrote and if that is not possible an apology would be nice. Oh and by the way you need to proof read your input as your comment is full of typos, well either typos or you have very poor spelling and grammar skills … or perhaps you are just too lazy to review your work. Again, Shame On You!!!

Jhigh03 -1 points 5 years ago*.

Sorry for the typos, your right, I was being lazy. I sent a pm sent to explain. Hope there are no hard feelings, it bothered me that i might have upset you as that was not my intention. And the use of the term dude in relation to gender is more or less unisex around my way.

Bravo, James McAvoy turns in yet another incredibly awesome performance. I have seen numerous films in which he has appeared but his talent never jumped off the screen until I saw him in Split, in which he gave a jaw dropping performance. The fact that he can completely change his character based on expression, posture, and speech is truly amazing. No need for wigs, make-up, or wardrobe change. All three films in this trilogy are a really good watch and should be viewed in proper order.

I usually try and stay away from shows based on movies (I’ve been burned before) but this show rocks. The extended story holds water and keeps you hooked, and the performances from the actors are phenomenal. I highly recommend this show. 8/10

Jhigh03 0 points 5 years ago.

this is more of a reimagining. the same writer of the movie did this one and said he really couldnt flesh out the character the way he wanted, hence the tv show.

I absolutely Loved how Negan made Gabriel chuckle when Gabriel was being so mature and dignified. (“Not the Father”) Haha, they are miserable and Negan says it feels like Christmas. Ah the Negan scenes were great.

Jhigh03 1 points 5 years ago.

i liked that exchange also, let me know Gabe can see the situation he is in and not just be in his head about it, quite a change for him.

The Walking Dead (2010) S9 E16
8STORY8 2 points 5 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

I mean seriously can you imagine back 1, 2, 3 seasons finale’s ago (albeit six years ago there time), imagining Negan would save Judith? I got the heart-feels when Negan lifted up Judith and put her over his shoulder, held the dog, limped along, thinking about if Rick could only see this now - (which begs that whole thematic question can people change? redeemable?) wow, neato. And that moment when he tries to make Judith laugh with that “dog better poop golden nuggets” but she’s more worried about his leg to laugh. Then, omg, he leans forward and puts his head against hers but for a brief moment…dudes, to me, that’s amazing movement in a story from bashing heads to that and it’s believable. <3 wowza

Jhigh03 1 points 5 years ago.
